INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Remember Pearl Harbor!

Remember the Alamo!

Remember Waco and Ruby Ridge!

Remember Nine-Eleven?

We ain’t seen nothing yet!

It is bad enough when most of the American people are in denial, but when the Commander-in-Chief is in denial and hoping the threat will evaporate and go away, that is really scary.

Hopefully not many active duty military personnel saw the fear in the eyes and faces of Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Gen. Dempsey, Obama’s little “yes man” serving as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. The two apparently had just been briefed on the threat from ISIS and their fellow terrorists and watched the brutal beheading video of yet another American when they held a news conference and told the truth about the threat. “We must kill them before they kill us.” That was not the party line and the two “yes men” had to retract their statements that contradicted their boss who was in total denial. It has taken Obama two weeks to work himself into a position to sound like he is going to deal with the terror threat to Americans.

Obama is scheduled to reveal his plan to “contain, degrade or otherwise neutralize ISIS without rocking the boat with the Muslim Brotherhood on Wednesday, September 10.

How soon we forget. Many of the American people, especially those under 30, have been conditioned to see torture, murder and terror as a movie or a video game. Nine-Eleven and the beheading of Americans by Islamic  killers is just another horror movie they saw on TV.  Only those who have experienced the horrors of war and terror along with their loved ones who lived the pain with them have any concept of what it is like to be in a situation where you must kill or be killed for hours, days, weeks or months on end.

When you put your life on the line for your countrymen day after day, it helps to have confidence in your leaders. Most members of the military in leadership positions have little or no confidence in the leadership in the White House or Pentagon.

There are military veterans who know what it was like serving in Vietnam under Lyndon Johnson during his final days in office when he had Linda Byrd driving him around in the late hours of night looking for a monk to advise him. There are also those who served under Carter and Clinton.

President Carter was so incompetent and clueless, that there was fear in the ranks that if he bungled into a war, that the entire army might refuse to follow his orders.

Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Ralph Peters, a military analyst for FOX News, expressed the sentiments of many active and retired military officers recently when he described President Obama as a “terrified little man”  in a suit, without a clue of how to deal with the serious problems facing United States that are his duty to solve.

Incompetence in the White House, the Department of Defense and the top layers of the military must weigh heavy on the leaders with command responsibility at the lower levels. They know what is going on but have no authority to deal with it. That is very frustrating and depressing. Hundreds of the Military’s best and brightest Colonels and Brigadier Generals resigned and left the service after serving in Vietnam. It took Ronald Reagan to begin building back competent senior officers to lead the military.

It is my view, and I am not alone, that it will be a miracle if we complete 2014 without a major terrorist attack on the 50 states or a major military base overseas. Terrorists and drug gangs continue to pour in through the unprotected Southern Border.

President Obama and his minions are playing political games with the security of the United States and the lives of American families.

Wake up people! These are the most dangerous days of our lives!
