Christians who have attempted to grow in the faith and study their Holy Bible know the prophetic signs of the approach of the “last days.” They have been warned of the slick appealing words of false prophets that are wolves in sheep’s clothing and are capable of deceiving “the very elect.” Few “born again” Christians would deny that there are indications that we are living in those last days before the return of our Lord, although no man knows the day or the hour.

The more I see and hear of what is going on in our nation's Capital the more certain I become that we have filled it with traitors and haters of our Republic.  Their major goal is not simply to feather their own nest, as is the goal of many politicians, but to destroy the government of the world's greatest experiment in freedom and liberty.  Their target is Biblical Christianity.  Whatever their professed religions may be, Christian freedom is anathema to them.

Panic is an ugly thing … especially when it rises out of a sense of political desperation.  Right now, the political Left is coming unhinged at precisely the moment a very real sense of cohesion is beginning to build on the political right.  At this writing, polls show a Democrat meltdown in Massachusetts with Republican Scott Brown surging to as much as a nine point lead over Democrat Martha Coakley.

The National High School Rodeo Association Wrangler Division, the newest junior high school rodeo program in America has appointed Leah Hunter, daughter of Rock and Jenny Hunter of Greer and a seventh grader at Blue Ridge Middle School, to the NHSRA Wrangler Division All Star Rodeo Team.

The Wrangler Division All-Star Rodeo Team is fashioned after Wrangler’s Champion Pro Rodeo Team.

It is a catastrophic human tragedy that foreigners understand what is happening to the United States of America much better than a majority of the American people. Many home-grown and educated Americans are blinded to the essential facts of history because we have been brainwashed, manipulated and deceived by a small group of dedicated evil advocates of socialism that is totally contrary to the founding principles of our republic.

Let’s take a look at the members of Gold City, but first let’s look at the founder who had retired from the road but is back with the group on a permantent basis, Tim Riley.

Do you remember the saying, “When the going gets tough the tough get going?” Or, how about, “Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.”  I think this one is my favorite, “Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise.  Dream more than others think is practical.  Expect more than others think is possible.”

These are all fairly famous quotes on desire and determination to win.  The spirit of America is the spirit of winning.  Maybe Patton said it best to his troops in the movie that bears his name.  “Americans love a winner.  Americans will not tolerate a loser.  Americans despise cowards.  Americans play to win all the time. That’s why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.”

Parent Previously Sought Help From Sheriff’s Dept. and Greenville County Council

Cynthia Zerga-Patnall appeared before the Greenville County Legislative Delegation, Monday evening, proposing specific legislation designed to prevent teen hoodlums from harassing law-abiding citizens on city streets and in neighborhoods and other public places. She proposed state laws that would hold parents responsible and accountable for all of their children until the age of 18 years.

Zerga-Patnall had addressed the delegation previously regarding teens in her neighborhood using abusive and threatening language when addressing girls and ladies on the sidewalks in the neighborhood.

The Greenville County Legislative Delegation made several appointments to boards and commissions during their January 4 meeting in Greenville. All five currently serving members of the Greenville County Election Commission were reappointed without opposition. The commissioners are Robert C. Schaffner, Bobby Black, Wilton E. Bagwell, Markylena Tolbert-Wydman and Bunny M. Phillips.

Faced with reduced strength resulting in reduced effectiveness in mission accomplishment from a large number of troop pregnancies, a commander in Iraq recently threatened any soldier in his command who became pregnant along with the male soldier who participated in the pregnancy with possible Courts Martial.

As could be expected, the feminists, such as Sen. Barbara Boxer, in the United States Senate, pitched a “hissie fit.” They began writing letters to the Secretary of Defense and general officers in the chain of command protesting the general’s threatened actions.

When I was a kid we used to play a game called "connect the dots."  Most of you have probably played the game...if all the dots are connected properly you end up with a picture that you will recognize, otherwise you just have a bunch of lines drawn in a meaningless pattern.  This little game became a catch-phrase to indicate that things were happening in a pattern and if you could properly figure out what was going on you would be able to predict where things were heading.  When you did you were said to have "connected the dots."

When I was a little boy I would often go outside on Christmas Eve and look for the Christmas star.  I had heard the story of the wise men since I was old enough to remember Christmas.  I even played a wise man in the third grade Christmas play at church but I never really understood who they were or why they would have looked for the star in the first place.

The Greenville County School Board approved a resolution authorizing the school district to issue construction bonds totaling $15 million for 2010 that will be used to fund a portion of a new elementary school and construction of classrooms at existing elementary schools.

Five Republican Candidates for Governor to Debate in Port City

The South Carolina Republican Party has announced that MSNBC Host Joe Scarborough will moderate the state GOP’s first gubernatorial debate to be held January 28th in Charleston.

The debate will take place at Memminger Auditorium in Charleston. Details of the debate and whether it will be televised for viewing in the heavily Republican upstate have not been revealed.

Are Americans safer now that George Bush is history and President Barack Obama is completing his first year of “change”?

We continue to have two wars. The primary difference between now and then is that Obama has given the enemy in Afghanistan notice that we plan to begin withdrawing troops by a certain date. That is a violation of the unchanging principles of warfare. You never tell an enemy that you are going to stop fighting before you achieve victory. This action will cost lives and make success less likely.

A reporter asked Majority Leader Harry Reid how he could justify exempting Nebraska from Medicaid payments forever, in exchange for Sen. Ben Nelson's vote. His reply:

There's a hundred senators here. And I don't know if there's a senator that doesn't have something in this bill that was important to them. And if they don't have something in it important to them, then it doesn't speak well of them. That's what this legislation is all about.
