Ellen E. Weaver, President and CEO of the Palmetto Policy Forum, was the guest speaker at the January luncheon of the Greenville County Republican Women’s Club.
The Piedmont Policy Forum is an independent state-based “action engine” dedicated to bring citizens together to implement bold policy solutions that expand opportunity for every South Carolinian.
Ellen is especially passionate about expanding high-quality education choices for every student, having experienced its power in her own life.
Ellen is a Greenville County native. She worked for 12 years in the office of Senator Jim DeMint. Her last assignment was State Director for the Senator. Her duties included management of staff, communications, outreach and political strategies in the state.
She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia and the Columbia Rotary Club.
