The Greenville County Republican Women's Club is the largest Republican Women's Club in the Palmetto State. Linda Slaton is the current president of the very active and influential organization.

WORD Radio's morning talk show host, Tara Servatius, was a guest of the  Greenville County Republican Women's Club during their January luncheon at the Poinsett Club in Greenville. The Tara Show airs from 6 am until 10 am Monday through Friday. Tara has worked in both the broadcast and print media in North and South Carolina. Her most recent assignment was broadcasting in Charleston.

Tara is in her third week of helping to replace both Russ Cassell and Lisa Rollins, two well-established radio personalities in Upstate South Carolina. Cassell died suddenly in October 2014 and Rollins left the station soon thereafter.  The selection of Tara. Servatius was the result of a national search by WORD management.

GCRWC collects change in baskets on tables at every meeting throughout the year. At the end of the year, they present the money to a worthy charitable organization. The 2014 funds were presented to Toni Clark, director of Defenders of Children, to be used by that organization.
