UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Senator Marco Rubio was 45 minutes late to his meet and greet in Greenville, Monday evening. He was greeted by a patient but enthusiastic crowd of about 300, and a majority of them were under age 40. Several of the younger volunteers came from out of town to participate in the event. One was from as far away as Virginia.

His theme was “what I will do as President.” He avoided controversy such as illegal immigration and no controversial questions were asked from the screened audience submissions.

He would replace Obamacare with insurance that may be purchased across state lines. He will create jobs, He would review and reduce the number of regulations that hinder small business. He would reduce taxes on corporations.

He talked about American Exceptionalism and the importance of building a future for our children.

He spent most of his time mingling with the cowd and posing for photographs following his remarks.
