SALTY SEZ – Upside Down World
- By Ray Simmons
Last week I talked about the bad news. This week I’m talking about the GOOD news. Of course, the real “good news” is the Gospel of Jesus Christ: His birth, His ministry, His death, His burial and His rising 3 days later. Another part of the good news is the Bible God has given us explains this good news. Often what I speak about includes references to the scriptures to illustrate the commentary. I am not a pastor nor a teacher of the scriptures…just a plain old Bible reader and truth seeker. In searching I have been introduced to a Pastor and Bible teacher who I believe is the best I have ever heard. He introduces his topic and examines its pros and cons in simple language anyone can understand. When he draws his conclusion you can put your faith in it. He doesn’t back away from controversy nor politics when they are pertinent. He even has a Friday evening program he calls pastors’ point of view (ppov), wherein he and another pastor discuss what is going on in the world today and how it fits into God’s plans. His name is Andrew (Andy) Woods. The church he pastors is the Sugar Land Bible Church in Sugar Land, Texas. https//slbc.org
Kamala Harris Just Keeps Getting Worse
- By David Limbaugh
No matter how mentally diminished President Joe Biden is, you have to be horrified by who waits in the wings should he leave office before the expiration of his term.
Unfortunately, one of the many consequences of Biden's mental decline is an impairment of judgment that manifests itself in such reckless decisions as putting Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of the border. It is like making a colicky infant the goalie of a professional hockey team. If Biden were more alert, I would suspect it was his way of seeking revenge against Harris and those who foisted her on to his presidential ticket.
Why Are American Leaders Not Protecting Our Interests When It Comes to China and COVID-19?
- By Neil Patel
What happens when a country loses interest in protecting itself? That's what we are living through in America today. COVID-19 has killed 600,000 Americans. Yet the U.S. government and top American leaders have generally been passive, or even uninterested, in learning how it all started.
How can that be? It's almost unimaginable that every single American would not want to find out the truth. That so few do is just another example of the sad place we find ourselves. Six hundred thousand dead Americans? Ho-hum. That's the attitude nationally.
Senate Unlikely to Pass Voting Reform Bill, But Fight is NOT Over
- By Eagle Forum
Previous Sunday another nail was put in the coffin of S.1, the For the People Act or as Republicans like to call it the Corrupt Politicians Act. The ultra-partisan bill was unlikely to ever garner enough Republican support to reach the sixty-vote threshold needed to pass the bill and now Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) stated he would not support the bill.
In an op-ed featured in Charleston Gazette-Mail, Manchin stated:
Joe Manchin: Racist or Profile in Courage
- By Pat Buchanan
In 1859, Abraham Lincoln related the tale of an Eastern monarch who charged his wise men with discovering words that would everywhere and always be true.
The wise men went away and returned to present the monarch with this six-word sentence: "And this, too, shall pass away."
So, the question: How long will Sen. Joe Manchin's hour of power last before it, too, passes away?
BJU Places Second at 2021 IGVC Competition
- By Press Release
The Bob Jones University robotics team placed second in design and second overall in the 28th annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC) at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, June 4-7. The team was awarded a total of $2,000 in prize money and presented with a trophy commemorating their achievement.
Due to challenges related to the coronavirus pandemic and reduced in-person education at some institutions, BJU competed against a smaller field of competitors this year which included Cedarville University, Gannon University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Lawrence Technological University, Oakland University, University of Oklahoma and Wayne State University. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University won the Grand Award.
Virginia District Hears Parents Loudoun Clear
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
One thing was for sure: they didn't come to be quiet. The parents of Loudoun County, Virginia who were packed into every available chair at Tuesday's school board meeting were angry. For months, they'd been warring with the district over its woke curriculum in a feud so bitter that it made the national news. But it was the suspension of Tanner Cross, a P.E. teacher who spoke out about a new transgender policy, that turned the local temperature from hot to boiling.

Call for Body Cameras in the Classroom
- By Nevada Family Alliance
RENO, Nev. -- With more and more teachers choosing indoctrination over education, one parents' rights activist has a novel proposal: make teachers wear body cameras.
Parents in Washoe County School District (WCSD) have become frustrated with the lack of transparency by teachers promoting a social justice narrative.
"Every day we are told of another incident where a teacher is violating the privacy of a student or contradicting the lessons taught by parents at home. Creating a record that could be viewed by appropriate parties, if necessary, might be the best way to urge teachers to stick to traditional teaching," said Karen England, Executive Director and Founder of Nevada Family Alliance.
Speaker Pelosi Continues to Crush and Disrespect the First Amendment as She Refuses to Allow Peaceful Free Speech Activities to Take Place on the Grounds of the U.S. Capitol Building
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON -- The Christian Defense Coalition and Rev. Patrick Mahoney were just denied the right to have a 4th of July prayer vigil and worship service on the lower western terrace of the U.S. Capitol.
Sadly, Speaker Pelosi has turned the "People's House" into "Fort Pelosi."
Below are the exact words of the Christian Defense Coalition's permit application for July 4th:
The Illusion of Inclusion
- By Michelle Malkin
I have been lately contemplating the utter disingenuousness of a certain genre of "viral video." If you have had the unhealthy experience of spending any significant amount of time on social media, you'll know exactly which one I mean. It's the category of manufactured feel-good clips I will heretofore refer to as the "Different Drummer."
The newest entry into the market of internet-manufactured sensations involves a charming 12-year-old boy named Trevor Bolling from the town of Dothan, Alabama. Trevor's sixth-grade teacher posted his spontaneous outbreak of joy during the Highlands Elementary School graduation ceremony on Facebook. While the other cement-footed kids mouthed the words obligatorily to "I'm Good" by The Mowgli's and cringed in the spotlight, Trevor sang it like he meant it. He gesticulated. He waved his hands here to there. He waved 'em like he just didn't care.
Hyde’s Not Enough: Dems Use Paycheck Fairness Act to Line Pockets of Abortion Lobby
- By Eagle Forum
As you may recall, Democrats in both the House and Senate are set on abolishing the Hyde Amendment. Hyde ensures that no taxpayer dollars are spent on abortion and, before this year, was a welcomed bipartisan amendment included in packages that fund the government. But allowing the government to fund abortion isn’t enough for the 117th Congress. They are now attempting to use the Paycheck Fairness Act or S. 205 to mandate employer-sponsored health insurance coverage of elective abortions.
The State of Black America
- By Star Parker
Listening to all the rhetoric in the popular media, you would think America is the most unfair, racist nation in the world. You would think that Black Americans are uniformly living in oppression and poverty, with no hope for the future, save the federal government arriving on the scene to their rescue.
Sorry, liberals, to trouble you with facts. But indeed there are facts. And the facts tell a far different story than what we are hearing.
Let's start with the most recent annual report of the Census Bureau: Income and Poverty in the United States: 2019.
House Poised to Spend Millions More on Pork Projects
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
The S.C. House this week could pass a revised version of the fiscal 2022 state budget, which includes $1.8 billion in “new” state funding.
But the total $32.1 billion budget version passed last week by the House Ways and Means Committee doesn’t authorize any refunds to state taxpayers.
Budget writers, however, designated millions for pet projects in the fiscal year that starts July 1.
When Science Isn't on Your Side, Use Intimidation
- By Creation Moments Board Chairman Mark Cadwallader
As the nation's oldest biblical creation ministry that reaches millions worldwide through our radio program, Creation Moments has seen first-hand how intimidation has been used as a weapon to support such non-biblical philosophies as Darwinism. Indeed, those who reject evolutionism are portrayed today as haters of science when, in fact, the exact opposite is true.
Saul Alinsky, the Marxist "Community Organizer" who became a hero and mentor to many of today's political left, laid out his methods in his book, "Rules for Radicals." Intimidation, he wrote, made the rest of his methods work and was the single most important operating principle. Indeed, "intimidation" has been used for years with evolution, the foundation of Marxism. You'd better get on the bandwagon of evolution or be cut-off from all funding, your good job, and association with other scientists!

Twitter Blocks and Bans in Nigeria
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
In a telling display of social media arrogance, Twitter deleted a post by Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari after his broadcast of a public warning directed at his opponents. Buhari's Islamist regime responded to the Twitter block by banning the use of Twitter throughout Nigeria. And the president's henchmen have since broadcast threats against media outlets that ignore the ban's demands. Information Minister Lai Mohammed claimed that the government had acted because of "the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence."

What Is America's Cause in the World?
- By Pat Buchanan
"Take away this pudding; it has no theme," is a comment attributed to Winston Churchill, when a disappointing dessert was put in front of him.
Writers have used Churchill's remark to describe a foreign policy that lacks coherence or centrality of purpose.
For most of our lifetimes, this has not been true of the United States. The goal of our foreign policy has been understandable and defined.

Fire in the Night Sky—Wisdom and Comfort
In January and February 1967, during the Vietnam War, I was flying combat missions over Laos and North Vietnam. I was assigned to a USAF Air Commando squadron operating out of Nakhon Phanom, Thailand, flying the navigator-copilot position in an A-26K, a twin-prop attack-bomber descended from the World War II Douglas B-26. Nakhon Phanom is on the Laotian border and only 30 minutes by air from the Ho Chi Minh Trial coming out of North Vietnam. Our most used weapon was a set of six .50 caliber machine guns in the nose, but we had four weapon stations on each wing and generally carried two 1,000 pound bombs in the bomb-bay. Our main mission was night-armed-reconnaissance interdicting North Vietnamese supply trucks, but we sometimes attacked enemy anti-aircraft guns or enemy troop concentrations. We were much slower than jet attack-bombers, but we could stay on station much longer and were considerably more accurate in identifying and destroying targets.
RNC Pride Tweet: The Elephant in the Room
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
A handful of days into this rainbow deluge, the air of LGBT pride is so suffocating that people could choke. It's plastered across social media, corporate logos, cereal boxes, even big box stores' pandering displays. This month, fans can't even go to a San Francisco Giants game without being bombarded with the league's first Pride-color uniforms. But one place conservatives thought they were safe from all this nonsense was the Republican National Committee. Turns out, their chairwoman is just as happy as anyone to pull on the LGBT jersey.
Almost Forgotten Americans Who Really Were Heroes - Part 2
- By W.H. Lamb
In Part 1 of this series, I introduced you to two famous Chiefs of the Northern Cheyenne people, namely “Little Wolf” and “Morning Star”, who was better known by the name he was given by the Sioux people: “Dull Knife”. During the last half of the 19th century, the concept of “Manifest Destiny”, or the expansion of the American experiment from the Atlantic to the Pacific, began to seriously clash with the concepts entertained by most of the Native Peoples that they had the right to continue to live on their traditional lands as they always had. It became obvious to both sides, as this century unfolded, that one or the other had to emerge victorious, with its vision of the future the only accepted one. As usual in the flow of human history, those with the best technology and the strongest motivations emerged victorious.
U.S. Rep. Mace Among Those Owing S.C. House Ethics Fines
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
Ex-S.C. House member Nancy Mace, who was elected last year to Congress, owes a $5,100 civil fine imposed by the state House Ethics Committee for a campaign reporting violation related to her former position, according to an updated fines list released this week after The Nerve’s inquiry.
The list, updated Tuesday on the Legislature’s website, shows that Mace, a Berkeley County Republican who was elected to the S.C. House in a 2018 special election, was fined on Jan. 21 of this year for “late/not filed campaign disclosure.” The status of the $5,100 fine was listed as “unsatisfied,” or unpaid.
ICAN Obtains and Releases Nearly 3,000 Fauci Emails from The Beginning of the Pandemic; Twitter Account Suspended
- By Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN)
AUSTIN, Texas -- In early 2020, ICAN made FOIA requests to NIH for documents regarding COVID-19, including two requests for emails sent by Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. When NIH failed to respond to those requests, ICAN brought a lawsuit against the agency on June 29, 2020.
In response to that lawsuit, NIH agreed to produce Dr. Fauci's emails on a rolling basis. To date, ICAN has received 2,957 pages of Dr. Fauci's emails, sent from early February 2020 through May 2020. There is some overlap between these emails and those recently made public by BuzzFeed.
SALTY SEZ - No News is Bad News
- By Ray Simmons
I open my e-mail and see titles such as these: Barack Obama said two words…,Rand Paul just got this threat… ,Did you see the President’s e-mail?..., Weekend at Bidens…, Trump was right and the Media admits it…no apology… I click on them and am taken to some entrée that tells me nothing of importance or nothing I consider truthful these days. The Media, that should be informing us of many things that we know are going on is as “fake” as President Trump said it is. It has become the tool of forces working to destroy the America we have known so that they (the powers behind the throne) can accomplish what their armed forces could not. One Christian organization that has been around for several decades was recently censored in their effort to promote a Christian product on Amazon by a refusal that said “All review decisions are final, and this title may not be resubmitted or appealed.” There is no level playing field in this war, only the enemy has a voice as freedom is being flushed down the drain.
It's Time to Consider Mandatory National Service To Help Heal Our Broken Country
- By Neil Patel
Our country is broken -- it's coming apart at the seams -- and it is not going to fix itself. Repairing it will take effort from all of us. It may require consideration of some big national changes. Too many of us are just sitting back and watching America's decline. It's time to consider any idea that holds some promise for national renewal, any idea that could universally bring us all together and teach us a shared cause.
Perhaps even mandatory national service.
