Dems Practice What They Impeach
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Liberals are nothing if not reliable. It's been 13 years since Barack Obama's chief of staff sat down with ABC and declared, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste." Rahm Emanuel's party has lived and died by those words through two administrations, taking advantage of every situation to push an agenda that no one would even consider under normal circumstances. We've seen it with the coronavirus, the election process, voting laws, and now the Capitol riot. In every challenge, every catastrophe, Democrats prove: they don't want to help America. They want to exploit it to help themselves. And this impeachment is no exception.
Lawmakers Continue Looking After Their Own Business Interests
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
As lawmakers return to Columbia this week to consider big issues such as the ongoing response to the coronavirus outbreak in South Carolina and the possible sale of state-owned utility Santee Cooper, some legislators are introducing bills that ultimately could fatten their own wallets.
And state law allows it.
Take Sen. Brad Hutto, D-Orangeburg, for example.
Twitter Permanently Bans Trump; Why Do Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Harry Reid Get a Pass?
- By Larry Elder
Twitter explained why it decided to permanently ban President Donald Trump: "After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them -- specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter -- we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence."
Amnesia of the Anarcho-Tyrannists
- By Michelle Malkin
Is it just me or has the entire universe of establishment media, politics and Hollywood forgotten that this country has endured an entire year of relentless violent anarchotyranny?
Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters set businesses and churches ablaze, smashed state capitols and laid siege to federal courthouses. They permanently destroyed precious statues and symbols of America's heritage. They assaulted elderly people, stalked and menaced bystanders, taunted and terrorized law enforcement. And they committed murder -- dozens of times -- in the name of social justice while the powers that be sat idly by.
President Trump's Masada Moment
- By Star Parker
There seems to be only one area of common ground in our country today: agreement that something is wrong.
But regarding what that "something" is, and what we need to do, there is profound disagreement throughout the nation.
The violence in which the sacred ground of our nation's Capitol building was violated by unruly hooligans, resulting in the death of five, is a low point in our history.
Is Truth Irrelevant?
- By Thomas Sowell
It is amazing how many people seem to have discovered last Wednesday that riots are wrong -- when many of those same people apparently had not noticed that when riots went on, for weeks or even months, in various cities across the country last year.
Technically (Not) Speaking: The Conservative Purge Begins
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
All they needed was an opening. And for the rich extremists at the helm of the West's social media, last Wednesday's riot gave them one. The purging of conservative expression has begun. We knew it was coming -- just as we've always known it will take every one of us to stop it.
Exploiting the Capitol Riot to Kill Trump
- By Pat Buchanan
Donald Trump has stumbled and fallen, and the establishment is not going to let slip this last opportunity to stomp him and his movement to death.
On Sunday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued a startling ultimatum:
Either Vice President Mike Pence and the Trump Cabinet invoke the 25th Amendment, declare the president "unfit" for office, and remove him within 24 hours, or House Democrats will vote to impeach him again.

The Jackass Reward Goes to Biden, Shcumer & Pelosi
- By Frank Raddish - Founder/Director Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries
During the Marxist riots, a leftist, deranged news reporter called these episodes "peaceful demonstrations" with burning buildings in the background. The daily, leftist news cycle referred to the BLM and Antifa Marxist rioters as "peaceful demonstrators" who were exercising their First Amendment rights. These Marxist revolutionaries looted, burned, assaulted, confiscated public and private property, and killed and severely wounded police officers and our fellow citizens.

Hawley's Publisher Bows to Cancel Culture
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It was only a matter of time until a book about corporate tyranny found itself shut down by -- you guessed it -- a corporation. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who has led many efforts in Congress to hold technology companies accountable, felt the full weight of the cancel culture this week when the contracted publisher of his forthcoming book, The Tyranny of Big Tech, refused to publish. Simon & Schuster issued a statement saying,
Who is Guilty of Inciting Riots?
- By Bill Donohue - Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights
In the wake of the storming of the Capitol, many are blaming President Trump for the violence. Of course, he never instructed anyone to engage in violence. Nevertheless, his critics argue that he stoked people's passions, which he did, and can therefore be held accountable.
If this is the standard—inflammatory rhetoric—then Trump's critics are at best ethically compromised. Consider the following remarks, made by the kind of people who are now hammering the president.
New Year, Same Road Problems Persist in SC
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to drive over pothole-free roads in South Carolina, you probably should choose a different goal.
The Nerve’s review of recently released state Department of Transportation records found that since the gas-tax-hike law took effect July 1, 2017, through Nov. 30 of last year, the total dollar amount of completed “pavements” projects statewide remained less than half of the estimated cost of all such projects.
One Nation Under God? Part 1
- By W.H. Lamb
“There is no doubt that this is a nation which was built upon the Christian faith—that the Lord, indeed, was the God of this nation, that it was founded upon the principles of God’s Word, upon the teachings of Christianity, and for the advancement of the Kingdom of Christ. All these things are well documented, in the charters of the original colonies, in the original compacts (like the famous Mayflower Compact), covenants, and constitutions. When the Supreme Court looked into the matter in 1892, poring over all the original documents, they concluded with one unanimous, unambiguous voice: ‘This is a Christian nation.’” (REV. D. JAMES KENNEDY)
D.C.'s Dark Day
- By Eagle Forum
You Can Be a Light in the Darkness
Wednesday’s events took the phrase, “When it rains, it pours,” to the extreme. Americans were waking up to the Georgia Senate election results, some were awaiting the Congressional certification of electoral votes, and others attended a rally in support of President Trump. However, the culmination of these tense circumstances resulted in an unruly mob becoming the focus of the day.
Heaven Is Not Shaken
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
This country has seen some dark days. There have been moments of unbelievable despair, like we witnessed at the Capitol, when everything seems to come apart at the seams. Those are the hours when the hopelessness we see looks nothing like the nation we thought we knew. Yet, in almost 250 years, even the worst of times have never defined us. And we can't afford to let this one either.
Trump's Agenda Must Survive His Presidency
- By David Limbaugh
I am saddened by what occurred at the nation's Capitol building on Wednesday. Such mob violence, especially against the nation's institutions of government, must be firmly and unequivocally condemned.
For my entire lifetime, the Republican Party has been the party of law and order and has zealously honored the Constitution. We must and will continue to be.
Most conservatives are rightly condemning the violence, but it should be noted that this is not typical of people on the right. We almost never behave this way, and we don't embrace it.
We Stand by Rep. Mary Miller's (R-IL) Comments; We Mourn Loss of Life; We Witnessed a Peaceful Rally
- By Moms For America Action
WASHINGTON -- Kimberly Fletcher, President of Moms For America Action, mourned the loss of four individuals killed at the U.S. Capitol.
"As a mother of eight, I am shaken and deeply saddened at the deaths of those killed inside of the U.S. Capitol today. Moms for America does not condone violence of any kind, and we condemn the actions of anyone who breaks the law.
"I have spent the last three days in Washington, and none of the thousands of Trump supporters exhibited anything other than kindness and respect for one another, for local police, and for the rule of law.
SALTY Sez - What’s going on?!
- By Ray Simmons
Now, I know I’m not going crazy! But I’ve got questions ‘bout lots of other people – reminds me ‘bout that old saying “the crazy-folk have taken over the Asylum!” Anybody with a grain of common sense knows the recent election was rigged to support Joe Biden, yet all the so-called Media and lots of Judges are saying “It ain’t so!” – even after seeing the evidence. I guess too many of them attended our upgraded educational system, maybe our grammar schools, where the kids are taught there’s no real TRUTH…everything is relative. Now, I realize that lots of folk vote democrat cause that’s the way their fathers and grandfathers voted.
Chaos at the Capitol -- Let's Ask Who is to Blame
- By Day Gardner, President of the National Black Pro-Life Union
Like many Americans, I have been doing a lot of thinking about the heartbreaking events of yesterday. This is America, how did we get here?
The thing that nags at me most is the fact that every bit of this ... all of it could have been avoided. The media, the Democrats and many Republicans take the let's blame Trump road because they think it's the easiest thing to do. After all, Democrats have been pinning everything on him for almost 5 years.
Suing Public Officials Personally, and Fighting for Fort Benning, Fort Bragg et al.
- By Gene Kizer, Jr., Charleston Athenaeum Press
I have written about this before because it is an extremely good idea, and the Georgia Division, SCV, is leading the way.
They are suing more mayors and council people as "individuals" (meaning they are being sued personally) for voting to remove Confederate monuments in direct violation of Georgia's monument protection law. The Georgia Division, SCV, press release of December 22, 2020 is below in its entirety.
The Georgia Minutemen have been promoting this approach too.
Lawmaker-Controlled Panel Violates State Law – Again
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
A legislatively controlled committee has once again violated a state law requiring that it provide the General Assembly with written individual evaluations of S.C. Public Service Commission members.
The seven-member PSC’s authority includes setting utility rates for investor-owned gas and electric utilities. The PSC is holding additional public hearings this week on a proposed nearly 8% electric rate hike for Dominion Energy customers – after The Nerve raised questions about the public-comment process.
Deceiving Words from Deceiving Black Leadership
- By Christian Newswire
DALLAS -- Rep Emanuel Cleaver closed his opening prayer at the 117th Congress with a controversial expression that included the words "monotheistic God," the Hindu creator deity "Brahma," and the "God known by many different names and many different faiths. Amen and A-Women." Rep. Cleavers prayer did more than cause a stir; it affirmed what black conservative pastors have been saying for years, principles in scriptures no longer govern the black church, but rather Cultural Marxism, better known as Political Correctness.
