Annemarie Verdin of Laurens and Sean Douglas Neal of Heath Springs were united in marriage Aug. 9, 2014, in Laurens.

The Rev. Barry Owens of Charleston officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony.

Wedding music was provided by organist Dr. Leigh Fleury of Clinton and vocalists Dr. Andrew Verdin of Laurens and Mrs. Kate Spigener of Clinton.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s grandparents in Laurens.

The bride is the daughter of The Honorable and Mrs. Daniel B. Verdin III of Laurens.

She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Daniel B. Verdin, Jr. of Laurens, and the Rev. and Mrs. Barry Owens of Charleston.

She is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Biology and is currently a fourth year medical student at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Neal of Heath Springs.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Neal of Heath Springs, Mrs. Carolyn Williams of Kershaw, and the late Mr. David Williams.

He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is employed by Agilis Engineering Inc. in Camden.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a silk twill box pleated ballgown with illusion over sweetheart neckline. The bodice featured a bow and covered buttons down the back of the dress to the tip of the cathedral-length train.

She carried a bouquet of white cabbage roses with camellia and magnolia foliage.

Maid of honor was Miss Caroline Verdin of Laurens.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Virginia Furr of Nokesville, Va. and Miss Lindsey Neal of Heath Springs.

The attendants’ wore black dupioni full length, sleeveless dresses with bateau neckline and v-back.

Flower girl was Aveleigh Furr of Nokesville, Va. Handmade by her grandmother, she wore a sleeveless white cotton dress with sash and monogram detail.

Best man was Mr. Douglas Neal of Heath Springs.

Groomsmen were Mr. Daniel Verdin IV and Mr. Whitson Verdin, both of Laurens.

Ringbearer was Tristan Furr of Nokesville, Va.

After a wedding trip to New England, the couple is residing in Columbia.
