For decades our self-serving Government has done next to nothing to curtail the flood of illegal aliens into America, and does virtually nothing to apprehend illegals known to be in the U.S.  It also does everything it can to facilitate the release of those illegals incarcerated by State and local authorities, and has numerous other insidious ways of handi-caping those whose job it is to enforce our immigration laws. One such way is the following which is only a tip-of-an ice berg.

My son works at the Perry Correction Institution in Pelzer, South Carolina.  He has a BS degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, and since he has no criminal or drug record he has met all security and other State requirements for his Correctional job which he has held for the past 12 years.

Recently, my son responded to an ad from the Census Department asking for temporary help to help take the 2010 census.  Since he works 12 hour shifts for 4 days and then is off 3 days, he knew it would be an ideal temporary job; so he applied, filled out an application, and took a test which he passed with “flying colors.”  But, unfortunately, he soon found that he was not qualified for census work because he works at Perry which is a part of our law enforcement system.

Evidently, he couldn't be hired because our Federal government which has the responsibility of controlling our borders and enforcing our immigration laws is afraid he might as a trained law enforcement person inadvertently do what he is trained to do -- enforce one of our immigration laws.

Obviously, our corrupt government discriminates against law enforcement people because both political parties  want to keep the flow of cheap labor flowing into our country for possible votes and the corporate money they need to keep themselves in their overpaid, part-time jobs.  It's also a wonder that we lemmings, especially those in our judicial system, have allowed elected officials to only pretend to enforce our immigration laws as long as they have because, to me, their behavior is criminal.
