Commander David Wright, above left, gives the oath of office to Doug Langley as First Lt. Commander of the 16th Regiment, Sons of Confederate Veterans in Greenville. The camp consists of approximately 200 members who are direct descendants of Confederate Veterans. The camp owns and operates the Library and Museum of Confederate History at 15 Boyce Avenue  in Greenville. Thousands of adults and students from the Upstateand around the world visit the Library and Museum each year. Admission is free. For hours of operation and group tours,call (864) 421-9039.

Ralph-Anderson-Presented-Award

Senator Mike Fair presented the Legislative Delegation  Chairman’s Award to Sen. Ralph Anderson during the Delegation meeting Monday, July 9, 2012.  Anderson is retiring from the Senate at the end of this legislative session. The Award is for Outstanding service to the citizens of Greenville County and South Carolina. “I don’t know a finer man in Greenville than Ralph Anderson,” Fair said. Anderson responded: “You couldn’t have given this to a nicer fellow.”
