WORD talk show hosts Bob McLain and Russ Cassell invited their listeners to join them at the Chick-fil-a on Woodruff Road last Friday at Noon to show their support for the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States that is under attack by the Obama Administration and their leftist supporters.
Hundreds of WORD listeners turned out and filled more than two blocks of sidewalks. They carried American flags and hastily made signs.
McLain and Cassell are outspoken supporters of the Constitution and equally outspoken critics of elected officials who violate their oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution.
WORD Talk Radio broadcasts on FM 106.3. The Russ Cassell program may be heard weekdays from 8 am. until 12 Noon. The Bob McLain program follows Rush Limbaugh at 3 pm. and leaves the air at 6. pm.
Both programs as well as the Lisa Rollins show in the early morning take live phone calls from listeners and are entertaining as well as informative on current events, both local and national.
A number of the attendees at the Friday event traveled to Columbia on Saturday for a statewide rally in support of the Second Amendment and gun rights guaranteed by the Constitution that are under threat.
