If you see a Candidate Washington Embraces, run and hide

TedCRuzy_Page-01Senator Ted Cruz demonstrated his strong conservative Christian values during a rally in Greer, Friday evening. The Senator’s father, Rev. Rafiel Cruz, is a Baptist Pastor and a dynamic speaker well-known among conservative Christians in Upstate South Carolina.

Cruz was interrupted by enthusiastic applause following virtually every statement. He took a couple of swipes at perceived Democrat opponents in the presidential race.

“The Democrat field consists of a wild-eyed socialist with ideas that are dangerous for America and the world and Bernie Sanders.”

Cruz said the President should begin each day on his knees and listed the 5-things he would do on the first day as president.

1. Rescind every illegal and unconstitutional Executive Action.

2. Instruct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into Planned Parenthood.

3. Instruct the Department of Justice, IRS and other federal agencies that the persecution of Religious liberty ends today.

4. Rip to threads the catastrophic Iran Nuclear agreement.

5. Move the American embassy to Jerusalem.

Cruz said he will “do exactly what I say I will do.”

On the days to follow, Cruz said, “I will go to Congress and we will repeal every word of Obamacare.”

“I will go to the Department of Education and instruct them that Common Core is finished.”

“In the days to follow, we will rebuild our military and we will allow our military personnel to arm and defend themselves.”

“In the days to follow, the Commander in Chief will stand up and say 'we will defeat Islamic Terrorists.”

“On Jan. 20, 2017, we will have a Commander-in-Chief who can actually say 'Islamic Terrorists.'”

“If you join ISSA and fight Americans you will be signing your death warrant.”

“In the days following, we will finally seal the border, end sanctuary cities, and end the Obama policy of releasing illegal alien convicted criminals.”

“I will take on the EPA and the alphabet soup of other federal agencies that are strangling small businesses. We will pass a flat tax, close the IRS and put the 90,000 IRS agents on the southern border.”

Cruz said that in South Carolina and everywhere across the country, “people are waking up.”

“By the way, if you see a candidate Washington embraces, run and hide.”

Someone introduced Frank Hall to Sen. Cruz as a retired Colonel from World War II. The man handed a note from Frank to Cruz. The note said in part, “My Bible tells me 'Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh in vain. The scripture also tells me: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.' I firmly believe we desperately need our pastors to be preaching and teaching Christian principles and Christian morality in politics as well as every other aspect of our lives.”

Alexis de Tocqueville wrote: “America is great because America is good. If America ever ceases to be good, they will also cease to be great.”

“How do you propose to help make America good again?”The response by Sen. Cruz was eloquent and reflected a profound understanding of Christianity and the responsibility of Christian pastors and lay people in our society.

He said Christians must stay home no more during elections. “Our campaign is working to mobilize pastors across South Carolina and the nation to tell their congregations that they must be salt and light.

“You can't be salt if you don't come in contact with that which you are to preserve.

“You can't be light if you are hidden under a bushel.

“You can't be a watchman on the wall if you are hiding under the desk.

Sen. Cruz ended the rally with one of his favorite stories..

“On January 20, 2017, a little old man walked slowly up to a Marine at the White House entrance and asked: Is President Obama here?” The Marine responded: No Sir. President Obama is no longer President and he is not here.'

“The next day the little old man returned to the White House and asked the same question. The Marine responded the same, and the man left.

On the third day, the little old man once again approached the Marine. “Is President Obama here?” he asked. The Marine responded sharply, “Sir this is the same question you have asked three days in a row, President Obama is no longer President and he is not here.” The little old man, with a twinkle in his eye looked straight at the Marine and said: “I  know that. I just like to hear you say it.”
