Tennessee, Montana Already Enacted Laws
Utah has become the third state to adopt a law exempting guns and ammunition made, sold and used in the state from federal regulations under the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Tennessee and Montana have already enacted such laws, and reports indicate 30 additional states have initiated action in some form to challenge the federal government and seek exemptions from gun regulations.
Wyoming and South Dakota have passed legislation that is reportedly ready for their Governor’s signature. In Oklahoma, Idaho and Alaska, legislation has passed the House and is awaiting senate action.
The issue is states’ rights and the vehicle is firearms. People at the grass roots level are fed up with the Federal Government infringing on states’ rights and individual freedom and are encouraging state governments to push back against an overbearing bloated federal government.
