Saylors Accuses Family Oriented Former Gay Group of Not Meeting Requirements of PTA’s “Diversity and Inclusion Policy”

Chuck-SaylorsRegina Griggs, Executive Director of PFOX, “Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays,” a family organization that educates the public on the message of hope and support for students, families and educators affected by homosexuality, gender confusion and school bullying, alleges that “the PTA has become a left-wing advocacy group instead of serving the needs of all children.

“Now the PTA is pressuring the state PTA chapters nationwide to adopt its biased national diversity policy, which includes ‘sexual orientation,’ even though that term is selectively used to discriminate against people of faith and ex-gay families,” Griggs concluded.

Christian Newswire in a story carried by The Times Examiner last week, reported that Charles (Chuck) Saylors, National PTA President has denied a request for PFOX to have an exhibit at the PTA National Convention.

The report stated that for 8 months Saylors has refused to meet with PFOX representatives, and denied their request to have an exhibit at the National PTA Convention.

Griggs wants to meet with Saylors to make him aware of the PFOX objectives. She has urged him to comply with his own PTA Diversity and Inclusion Policy that encourages PTA members to “Become acquainted with the leaders of the many diverse groups in the community and collaborate with them to increase parent, family and community involvement.”

Griggs notes that Saylors and the PTA welcome homosexual activist groups to participate in the PTA Convention with displays, while discriminating against ex-gays.

In correspondence to Saylors, Griggs explained her request and asked the National PTA President who is also a member and former chairman of the Greenville County School Board to comply with the PTA diversity policy:

“We urge you, Mr. Saylors to do exactly that. We would like you to please meet our PFOX families and members of the ex-gay community to see for yourself that we are not the horrible people you think we are. Please call me to arrange a time when we can meet at your office and at your convenience. As you travel around the country giving speeches to urge more family and community involvement in the PTA, we urge you to remember that PFOX families are also PTA families.”

Edward Raymond Moore, founder and president of Exodus Mandate, an organization advocating school choice and removal of children from public schools is asking parents to contact Saylors at This email address is being protected from spambots. Saylors is a senior executive of MB Kahn, a major construction contractor involved in construction of school facilities.
