Should you and I be doing what Adam SchIfft and his democratic cronies are doing we would be arrested and charged with treason. It is amazing to me that the American public has not flooded Washington with protests, telling the Democrats to get off their hate filled butts and start working for US, “We-the-People.”

I am reminded of a Psalm I recently read; let me quote part of Psalm 109 for you:

                1 Do not keep silent,

            O God my praise!

            For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful

            Have opened against me;

            They have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

            3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,

            And fought against me without a cause.

            In return for my love they are my accusers,

            But I give myself to prayer.

            Thus they have rewarded me evil for good,

            And hatred for my love.

This Psalm of David’s continues through 31 verses. It is what we call an imprecatory prayer telling how David has been wounded and hurt and asking God to vanquish his adversaries in several different ways, including; “Let there be none to extend mercy to him, nor let there be any to favor his fatherless children. Let his posterity be cut off…”

David, the only person in the scriptures called a man after God’s own heart, was not turning the other cheek. Perhaps our prayers should be for a President who needs our help and who is not turning the other cheek.

The democrats are also doing their best to ignore our legal system.  This too reminds me of a book I read many years ago. A book, The Law, written by a Frenchman, Frederic Bastiat, in 1850 as he watched the French legal system crumble. I suspect most of our democratic Congressionals have studied this book the way they have studied our Constitution – hardly at all if one judges by their comments. Those most likely to have heard of the book would be designated by our culture as rabid conservatives. Millennials would likely say “what book?” If you love the America that existed even as late as the sixties and seventies and would like to preserve it, you might want to read The Law, which essentially opens with the comment:  Life is a Gift from God. If you do not believe that, you should read the book the prayer is in first and then read The Law.
