Americans can sign-up now to join this historic, nationwide event on May 2
PHOENIX -- The Presidential Prayer Team, the national, nonpartisan prayer ministry for America and its leaders, announced today that it will host the largest online prayer event in the nation's history on the National Day of Prayer on May 2, 2019. The event will allow participants to unite online and pray together for the leadership of our country and be part of the largest collective prayer event in US history.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance that seeks to encourage and emphasize prayer among people of all faiths, regardless of current issues and positions. This year's theme is "Love One Another," as referenced in John 13:34.
With one week until the National Day of Prayer, more praying Americans are signing up to intercede for America's leaders and its families according to His leading.
To join the free, online prayer gathering, Americans can visit www.pray.team/NDOP to sign-up for a specific time to lift the country up in prayer. Registrants will receive custom, digital badges that can be used to share their commitment to this important event and inspire others to join them.
The site also offers registrants the opportunity to opt-in to receive daily e-mail prayer reminders and access the many unique products developed by The Presidential Prayer Team to engage more Americans in daily prayer at a deep level, even after the National Day of Prayer's conclusion.
"The National Day of Prayer provides an important opportunity for Americans to unite in prayer for our leaders, our country and ourselves," said Jim Bolthouse, President of The Presidential Prayer Team. "We're honored to connect people in prayer and hope this monumental event energizes all faithful Americans to pray for the president and leadership of the United States of America to accomplish the will of God in this country."
Following the National Day of Prayer, The Presidential Prayer Team will kick-off its 30-day prayer challenge to continue the momentum of prayer for our country's leadership and encourage Americans to petition God on behalf of those who lead our nation.
