Biblical Parallels to Israel Tragedies Call for Lamentation
- By Joshua Arnold - The Washington Stand
**Editor’s note: The following article contains graphic descriptions of violence that may be inappropriate for children. Parental and reader discretion is advised.
Enough time has elapsed since Hamas’s coordinated strike against Israeli civilians to uncover some of the horrific deeds they perpetrated. As of Wednesday morning, Israeli casualties exceeded 1,200 killed and 3,000 injured, most of which were civilians, according to Israel’s U.S. embassy. While tragic, this gruesome carnage is not entirely unprecedented; parallels are recorded even in Israel’s own history.
As more details emerge, so do more biblical parallels. Hamas slaughtered hundreds of young people gathered at a desert music festival near the border, leaving behind “bodies cut in half, heads, hands, arms,” according to one volunteer assisting with the cleanup. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have discovered 40 babies, some of which were beheaded, among the dead at a kibbutz near the Gaza Strip. Terrorists raped women, kidnapped children and the elderly, and posted videos of the captives to taunt Israelis.

Hamas Horrors Rock Israel: 'This Is the Day of the Greatest Battle'
- By Rob Schwarzwalder - The Washington Stand
By now, most readers of the Stand have heard the news of the radical Palestinian group Hamas’s attack on Israel. As of Sunday, about 600 people, both Israelis and Palestinians, have been killed and an estimated 1,700 injured. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “ordered a call-up of reservists after Palestinian militants fired thousands of rockets, invaded several Israeli towns and took hostages.”
Fighting has occurred in dozens of places along Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip, the narrow wedge of land between Israel’s western border and the Mediterranean Sea. Hamas’s assault has come by land, sea, and air, obviously the fruit of extensive planning and the stockpiling of aggressive weaponry of all types.

United Nations Staging Major "Summit of the Future" in 2024
- By The John Birch Society
Last week, the United Nations wrapped up its General Assembly regular session, along with its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit. The globalist organization wasted no time pushing for greater global control — with the goal of one-world government.
For example, the UN pledged to double down on implementing its totalitarian Agenda 2030 plan and associated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN General Assembly passed a resolution to accelerate Agenda 2030’s implementation, and the UN is working to create a new global financial system to help implement the SDGs. More broadly, the UN also promoted greater global integration, touting “multilateral treaties” as “essential tools for Member States to achieve the objectives of the UN Charter,” and it continued its use of climate-change hysteria to help achieve global, totalitarian control.

Poland Challenges European Union on Draconian Climate Regulations
- By James Murphy - The New American
Poland has asked the European Union’s highest court — the European Court of Justice — to cancel three of the bloc’s most extreme climate-change policies on the grounds that they threaten the nation’s energy security and the well being of its citizens. Poland is claiming that the policies are in breach of EU treaties, as they were adopted without the unanimous backing of the European Council.
The Polish government argues that EU policies regarding banning cars that emit CO2 by 2035, national emissions targets, and a law reforming the bloc’s carbon market will burden Polish citizens who can least afford such drastic changes. They further argue that the extreme regulations infringe upon Poland’s national sovereignty.

"Right now, they're desperate to find peace and answers amid the chaos and devastation," he added.

America’s International Influence Wanes as Communist Nations Craft Partnerships
- By K.D. Hastings - The Washington Stand
Economic weakness and radical policies are pushing nations away from the U.S. and into the arms of China and Russia, a well-known business school head stated Friday.
“The U.S. is clearly losing our authority on the world stage,” former Congressman Dave Brat said on August 25’s “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.” Brat is dean of the Liberty University School of Business.
He noted that BRICS, a bloc of nations that already included China, Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa, announced Thursday the group was adding Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ethiopia, Egypt, Argentina, and the United Arab Emirates as members in a concerted effort to overturn what has been a world order dominated by U.S. interests since the mid-20th century.

Hanmei "Hannah" Xu and Qingxin "Pure Heart" Li arrived in the United States last month and are presently seeking asylum, according to representatives of the two groups.Dr. Li Baiguang, known for his self-described "ant strategy" of traveling around China to take up hundreds of individual cases defending the religious freedom and human rights of ordinary citizens, rose to prominence internationally after receiving an award from the Washington-based National Endowment for Democracy in 2008 and being invited for three visits with then-U.S. President George W. Bush. Both Ms Hanmei Xu and Qingxin Li were summoned to local police station nearby where they used to stay in Jiangsu province for intensive interrogation about Dr. Li's human rights activities. Ukraine Keeping West in the Dark on Counteroffensive Plans – Politico
- By Angeline Tan - The New American
Ukraine is hesitant to disclose plans for its anticipated spring counteroffensive against Russia to its Western allies, owing to worries that such information could fall into the wrong hands, according to a May 2 Politico report.
European officials interviewed by Politico admitted that Kyiv’s fears were due to the recent disclosure of classified Pentagon documents, allegedly leaked by Massachusetts National Guard soldier Jack Teixeira.
The leaked Pentagon documents, whose veracity has not been officially confirmed but generally assumed to be true, assessed Russian and Ukrainian combat readiness, casualties, loopholes in Kyiv’s defenses, placed Kyiv officials “on high alert,” the report asserted.

Galcom reached out to MegaVoice first. MegaVoice, a ministry with a thirty-five-year legacy of creating innovative tech solutions to serve the church, was immediately able to allocate 2,000 solar camp lights. Another provider from Thailand located 800 mini charging units developed by another ministry. Six other ministry partners joined Galcom's efforts to raise and send the funds necessary to ship these devices to Turkey for distribution by a disaster response team.

Thousands of unwanted children in orphanages across former Soviet Union 'potential recruits' for organized crime
LOVES PARK, Ill., March 7, 2023 /Christian Newswire/ -- Thousands of abandoned and unwanted children in orphanages across Russia, Ukraine and the former Soviet countries are highly vulnerable to recruitment by organized crime groups, a U.S. mission agency says.

"Thousands end up with nowhere to go, living on the streets, caught up in prostitution, drugs and organized crime to survive. They're prime recruiting targets for criminal gangs."
