Pelosi Cost US Air Force $2,100,744

Judicial Watch, a “constitutionally conservative, nonpartisan educational foundation that promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government politics and the law,” requested and received documents showing the cost of House speaker Nancy Pelosi’s travels by US Air Force Jet during the past two years.
Judicial Watch reported that the 2,000 pages of documentation they obtained under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act show Pelosi’s travel cost the U. S. Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two year period. In-flight expenses including food and alcohol totaled $101,429.14.

Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson Founder and President of BOND Action has called for the resignation of Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
In a recent statement, Rev. Peterson elaborated on his statement.
“Despite the hope that many Republicans see in a Scott Brown victory, the Republican Party has a serious problem - - namely Michael Steele. In the short time since Steele was elected - - he’s acted less like a friend and more of a foe to conservatives.

Jeffrey, Lord speak to Greenville County Republican Women

Christina Jeffrey, a candidate for the fourth district U.S. congressional seat, and Leighton Lord, a candidate for South Carolina attorney general, spoke to the Greenville County Republican Women (GCRW) meeting at the Poinsett Club, Jan. 28.
Dr. Jeffrey, a lecturer at Wofford College, who is seeking the Republican nomination for the seat held by incumbent Rep. Bob Inglis, said, “I am first and foremost a Christian,” and “I believe that a great country is an important asset” for Christians.

Walt Wilkins to Run for Solicitor

Walt Wilkins has announced that he will seek the Republican nomination to become the next 13th Circuit Solicitor.
Wilkins, the former US Attorney for South Carolina, and the son of Judge Billy Wilkins, brings proven experience and a record of accomplishment to the race.
“During my five years in the US Attorney’s office, I prosecuted hundreds of cases involving violent crime, street gangs, narcotics and illegal immigration. We worked with a number of state and federal agencies and dismantled several violent street gangs. We broke up an international drug smuggling ring and indicted 110 people.

South Carolina Senate Passes “Sovereignty Resolution”

Voter ID Bill another High Priority for Lawmakers
The South Carolina State Senate finally passed a sovereignty resolution that had been held over from last year.
With Tea Party and Taxpayer activists looking over their shoulders, Senators passed the resolution in the second week of their business that will formally remind all branches of the federal government that their powers are limited by the United States Constitution.
It further reminds the federal government that it has no authority to demand purchase of healthcare insurance by the citizens of South Carolina.
