Ohio Legislators & Leaders to Fight Issue 1
- By Faith2Action
Our Children are Not for Sale to the Highest Bidder
NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio -- In addition to the 26 Ohio legislators who issued a joint statement against Issue 1 on Tuesday, legislative leaders announced today they will be introducing bills to address Issue 1 in the Ohio House. Tuesday's joint legislative statement said in part, "This initiative failed to mention a single, specific law. We will do everything in our power to prevent our laws from being removed based upon perception of intent."
"Foreign billionaires don't get to make Ohio laws," said Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester), pointing to millions from billionaires outside America that helped fund Issue 1. Gross added, "This is foreign election interference and it will not stand."
Scientists Refute Paper Calling for Censorship in Climate Science
- By James Murphy - The New American
Two scientists from the University of Algarve in Portugal have produced a document that brings into question several assumptions in the “greenhouse gas hypothesis,” which is integral to the climate cult’s claim that mankind’s emissions of greenhouse gasses from our use of fossil fuels is leading to out-of-control global warming.
In their scientific editorial comment titled “On Earth System Dynamics’ ‘Greenhouse Effect’ Editorial,” chemist and mathematician Igor Khmelinskii and chemical thermodynamicist Leslie V. Woodcock cite several reasons why, in their opinion, the entire theory that carbon dioxide is leading to out-of-control global warming lacks foundation and that any effect that the gas might have on the planet is negligible at best.
Congress Can Redeem Itself by Calling for Help
- By Veronique de Rugy
There's much talk today about the need for a fiscal commission. The House Budget Committee held a hearing about it a few weeks ago. Pundits are Substacking about whether using the approach to put federal finances on a sustainable path is a good or a bad idea. And according to a recent polling, voters support the idea of a commission.
Great. But that shouldn't obscure the fact that a commission would be the result of our legislators constantly acting like children by refusing to be good stewards of taxpayers' dollars, which is their No. 1 job. There are also a few important things needed to make such a commission successful.
Tuberville Continues the Fight for Life While Other Senators Fade
- By Eagle Forum
Life on the Line in Senate
For ten months, Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has used a procedural tool to hold the Biden administration accountable for their illegal implementation of taxpayer-funded abortion. Not only has his blockade on military promotions caught the attention of Americans, but it has unexpectedly brought to light the lack of willingness by a handful of Republican Senators to fight for pro-life convictions.
Even before last year’s Pentagon policy allowing military service members and their families reimbursement for abortion travel was announced, Sen. Tuberville warned Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin that he would “hold their most senior nominees if they broke the law.” Despite current law prohibiting taxpayer funding of abortion, the Secretary issued a memo that said the Defense Department would reimburse abortion travel expenses with our tax dollars. Senator Tuberville has kept his word and repeatedly objected to these nominations being passed by unanimous consent (i.e. no vote in the Senate.)
Why the Left Hates Israel and America
- By Star Parker
This week, my organization, Center for Urban Renewal and Education, held an event in Michigan's 12th congressional district, the district of Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
Forty Christian pastors -- white, Black, Hispanic -- attended to speak out in support of Israel.
We brought these Christian spokespersons into the backyard of one of the most aggressive voices in the U.S. Congress speaking out against Israel and supporting the terrorism and aggression against the Jewish state.
Support the South Carolina Sovereignty Act, H.3539
- By The John Birch Society
South Carolina lawmakers are seeking to enact a comprehensive nullification bill, a major step toward enforcing the U.S. Constitution and pushing back against federal overreach.
House Bill 3539 (H.3539), titled the “South Carolina Sovereignty Act,” is sponsored by Representative Josiah Magnuson (R-Campobello) and 22 other representatives. If enacted, this bill would create a robust and comprehensive process for nullifying unconstitutional federal laws and policies enacted after January 1, 2021.

Sick: Ohio Issue 1 Ads Present a False, ‘Pro-Abortion’ Jesus
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Some elections have a deeper significance than choosing the policies that will guide us. They are harbingers of a spiritual and moral change taking place among our people. The election over Ohio’s Issue 1, where ads proclaim that followers of Jesus should be “pro-abortion,” is one such election.
For decades, politicians tried to cloak their abortion-expanding policies beneath protests that they were “personally opposed” and believed abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” The authors of Issue 1 insist Jesus would amend Ohio’s constitution to give people of all ages the “right” to make “reproductive decisions” ranging from unlimited abortion, to transgender surgeries, to potentially allowing prostitution.
Lest ye think I’m being overly dramatic, watch their ads and read their literature. Issue 1’s sponsors have quietly turned the political initiative into a public bout of spiritual warfare.
What is the Evolutionist Perspective on Peer Review?
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
In general, from the standpoint of evolutionist a paper being peer reviewed and published by the right type of publication Has about the same effect as something being blessed by the Pope goes to a Roman Catholic. In the opinion of many of them it is the distinguishing factor between science and non-science regardless of well the scientific method is actually followed. It is frequently used as a way to excuse denying evidence that goes against the Big Bang to man evolutionary story.
When Will Politicians Learn Banning Cigarettes Will Never Work?
- By Stephen Moore
One of the most enduring lessons of American history is that the banning of liquor sales and consumption ("the noble experiment") was a colossal failure. Drinking didn't go down much, but the profits ended up going not to legitimate businesses but bootleggers and the mob, while the murder rate soared to all-time highs in American history. It was the policy that made America's most famous gangster, Al Capone, famous -- and rich.
I was reminded of this when I saw recently that the Biden administration's Food and Drug Administration wants to ban menthol cigarettes. Menthol flavorings account for approximately 37% of cigarette sales. That demand will not disappear but it will be driven underground, creating more significant risks to consumers.
Pro-Hamas and Pro-LGBT Crazies Tied at the Hip
- By Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights
In the late 1960s, while on leave from the Air Force, I came home to see my family in New York City. At that time, I was following the political upheaval that had gripped Ireland. I learned that Bernadette Devlin, the Irish firebrand, was in town, so I went to hear her address before a large indoor crowd in midtown Manhattan. I was not pleased by what I heard.
Devlin wasn't the problem: the problem was that although this happening was billed as an Irish event, it was taken over by activists representing every left-wing cause imaginable. The war on Vietnam, the oppression of minorities, Indians, women, prisoners, students—you name it—that's what carried the day. In short, the radicals had no interest in discussing conditions in Ireland. They simply hijacked the event to mouth their own litany of grievances.
Top Establishment Republican Leader Violates Ethics Laws? Case Referred to 5th Circuit Solicitor's Office

The latest example? An ongoing ethics investigation into the corrupt dealings of powerful Labor, Commerce, and Industry (LCI) Committee Chairman Bill Sandifer was referred to the 5th Solicitor’s Office earlier this week for further consideration.
Remember, this is the same truth challenged Representative who was caught on camera blatantly lying to members of the public, telling them Freedom Caucus members “offered 1,000 amendments to kill the Fetal Heartbeat Bill.” He also authored the Base Load Review Act which directly led to the failure of the VC Summer Nuclear Plant and cost taxpayers and ratepayers billions of dollars.
Unveiling the Unseen Similarities between GCRP and the Titanic
- By Judith A. Tanzola
Just One Small Thing
As the Titanic attempted to cross the Atlantic, there was a simple problem, that even the most astute seaman could have not realized. Thus, the gigantic vessel, the pride of the White Line and of the British Empire disappeared beneath the surface of the Atlantic, that it so proudly attempted to skim across.
This vessel, a treasure to own and sail on, was forced, full steam ahead into an iceberg. An iceberg, with barely the tip visible, but gargantuan below the surface. -In the vast ocean near Newfoundland, with horizons and sky taking on visual infinity, how could such a white floating object go unnoticed?
Turning the World Upside-Down

Making Truth and Islamophobia a Crime
On November 2, U.S Vice President Kamala Harris announced a new national strategy to counter Islamophobia. The English language term, “Islamophobia,” appeared academically as early as 1923, but its widespread coinage as a major Muslim Brotherhood propaganda word originated with the Council of Islamic-American Relations (CAIR) between 2011 and 2012.
The powerful 57-nation member Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) within the United Nations (UN) had been lobbying Western UN members to make Islamophobia (essentially any criticism of Islam) a punishable hate crime. They had already succeeded in many Western European nations of the European Union. In late 2011, less than a year before the Benghazi incident, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was consulting by direction of President Obama with OIC leadership to make Islamophobia a punishable hate crime in the U.S. To get such a federal law passed by Congress in the United States at that time would have been politically problematic. Recognizing the political risk to the Obama Administration, Clinton’s strategy to appease the OIC was to penalize criticism of Islam by informal “social shaming,” making use of federal government influence on the media, academia, and cultural and political power centers.
Hidden currents: How S.C. officials kept electric vehicle project secret
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
On the night of Sunday, Feb. 26 this year, state and local government officials gathered in the 600 Executive Club at the Williams-Brice football stadium in Columbia for an event billed as a “Confidential Economic Development Dinner with Project Connect: Scout Motors.”
The meeting was so secret that dinner guests were required to sign nondisclosure agreements to attend, according to records obtained recently by The Nerve under the S.C. Freedom of Information Act.
The stated purpose of the event, led by Gov. Henry McMaster, was for “South Carolina leadership to host a dinner for Project Connect’s leaders,” which included Scott Keogh, Scout Motors' president and chief executive officer, as well as executives and a board member of the Volkswagen Group, records show. The German-based Volkswagen Group last year created Scout Motors as an independent company.

CIVILIZATION’S INTERREGNUM – PART 6

Amanda’s Tale #3 – The Descent Of Darkness – Atlanta, Summer, 2148 A.D.
Amanda stepped to the side of the vault, and told Mary to stand in front of the voice computer input on the front of the vault.
“Mary, my faithful employee and friend, I’m giving you the access code to this vault. Write it down on that memo pad I know you always carry with you. Then memorize it and destroy that paper.” She gave Mary the code, and told her to verbally input the code sequence, which she did. “Pull the door open, Mary,” Amanda requested. As the younger woman opened the vault door, Amanda turned to her. “Mary, I don’t know what future you or Min will have, considering what is facing our country, but for what it’s worth, except for this house I’m leaving everything I have to the both of you. I have no children or surviving family, so now you are my heirs. It’s all been done legally, here in this will.” She removed a document from one of the shelves and opened it.
Biden 'Depleted' Israeli Weapons to Back Ukraine: Congressman
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Before Hamas launched a terrorist attack on Middle Eastern Jews, the Biden administration had weakened Israeli defenses by diverting hundreds of thousands of artillery shells out of Israel to support the war in Ukraine. A Republican congressman says it is “unclear” Biden’s actions fully complied with U.S. law.
The New York Times revealed in January that the Biden administration had begun transferring “hundreds of thousands” of 155-millimeter artillery shells from the War Reserve Stocks for Allies–Israel (WRSA-I) to Ukraine. The military stockpiles pre-positioned weapons, as well as critical equipment and supplies, in strategic locations “for rapid response in a global operation,” the Defense Department notes, but these weapons may also be given to a host nation — or transferred to another. “It’s their ammunition, and they don’t really need our permission to take it,” said one Israeli official. Some in Tel Aviv felt helpless to prevent the Democratic president from making a strategic decision that put their security at risk. “We can’t really say no without creating a big crisis with the Biden administration,” stated a former senior Israeli official.
CIVILIZATION’S INTERREGNUM – PART 5
- By W.H. Lamb
Amanda’s Tale #2—The Descent Of Darkness—Atlanta, Summer, 2148 A.D.
“I’ve got some savings and a few investments left, Mary,” replied Amanda. “I went to the State Bank last week and got enough cash to last us for a couple of months. The “No Nos” didn’t find it, I’m sure. Help me to the riser, and I’ll go down and open the vault. Min, you stay up here and try to clean up as best you can. We won’t be long.”
The lower level of the Jennings mansion, formerly the scene of many delightful parties, dances, and recitals by young musicians, was trashed even worse than the upstairs. Smashed and slashed furniture was scattered around the rooms, and all of the valuable original and rare paintings by famous artists of the past 200 years had been removed and burned in the back yard. Her prized photo images of many of her special gatherings had also been consigned to the fires of stupidity and mindless rage set by the mob of modern Neanderthals trying to destroy the “demons” of the past, as the “No Nos” and their demagogic leaders taught the new masses.
Grassroots Activists Are Winning Battles Against Powerful Green Forces
- By Tom DeWeese - American Policy Center
“The global forces are just too big and powerful. There’s no way to stop them. We are locked out of the process. Our elected officials just won’t listen to us!” This is what I hear every day from activists who truly want to stand up for freedom – but, instead, are looking down in defeat.
STOP IT!!! We have just won a major victory in Iowa as the Navigator Heartland Greenway has announced they are pulling their request from the Iowa Utilities Board to build the carbon capture pipeline. This is a direct result of dedicated grassroots activists standing up and fighting back, demanding the protection of their private property from an arrogant and powerful private corporation that didn’t think mere peasant citizens could stop them.
Warns Voters of Issue 1: The Most Radical Amendment in Ohio History
- By Christian Newswire
Faith2Direct Action Runs Statewide Ads
NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio -- Faith2Direct Action (the lobbying arm of Faith2Action) began running ads statewide to warn voters about what is at stake in Tuesday's election. "Issue 1 is the most radical amendment in Ohio history," said Janet Porter, President of Faith2Direct Action. "It would strip parents of their rights and partially-born babies of their lives."
Porter was the architect of the Heartbeat Law, and chief lobbyist behind Ohio's Partial Birth Abortion Ban, Parental Consent, and the Woman's Right to Know Law--all of which would be repealed under Issue 1.
Responsible Government Isn't Just for the Tough Times
- By Veronique de Rugy
Some policy experts who, over the last few decades, saw little need for serious fiscal austerity because the government could borrow at low interest rates are now changing their tune. Their argument is that with rates now rising and the government's interest payments set to become extremely expensive, it's time to adjust. While I suppose that's progress, they fail to see that the past calls for austerity were attempts to avoid precisely what's happening today.
Indeed, the need for fiscal responsibility was never based on an inability to afford extra debt back then. It was because the moment was destined to arrive when adjustments became necessary, and rising indebtedness ensured that these changes would become more painful.
Stop Con-Con Aggregation Scheme in Congress: H.Con.Res. 24 and S. 810
- By The John Birch Society
The U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government (until recently chaired by now-Speaker of the House Mike Johnson) recently held a hearing on “Examining Proposed Constitutional Amendments” — included those proposed via applications to Congress to call an Article V constitutional convention. Republicans in the U.S. House are increasingly falling for a disastrous Article V convention, which could reverse the existing Constitution’s limitations on government power and interference. Contact your U.S. representative and senators, and urge them to oppose all Con-Con proposals, including H.Con.Res. 24 and S. 810.
Speaker Johnson Moves Bills on Israel and Appropriations
- By Eagle Forum
You’ve likely heard by now that the House finally elected a new Speaker! After twenty days of failed votes on three GOP nominees, the entire Republican conference voted in favor of electing Representative Mike Johnson (R-LA) as Speaker. Staying under the radar ended up being Rep. Johnson’s biggest asset. Because other nominees held leadership or committee chairman positions, they made enemies within the GOP due to disagreements on strategy or negotiations. Rep. Johnson, however, had a clean record. While the conference’s wariness was offset by the urgency of electing a Speaker, their coalescence around Rep. Johnson spoke to his character and leadership potential.
