Greene Puts the Squeeze on Republicans ahead of Midterm Mayhem

The soap opera that is the U.S. House will be losing one of its leading ladies, and no one is more disappointed than the mainstream media. For five years, reporters ate up the drama that stuck to Georgia’s Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) almost as closely as her out-of-season tan. While the sudden, mid-term departure creates very real headaches for Republicans — and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in particular — MTG’s exit isn’t all bad news.

Tariffs in American History

An Unsettling Story of  Economic Ignorance and Blind Greed

“Great is Diana of the Ephesians.”

US Capitol Building 2025

George Washington signed the first U.S. Tariff bill in 1789 with an average tax on imports of about 5%. Tariffs ranged from about 6% to 15% until the Dallas Tariff in 1816 to repay the debt from the War of 1812. The Dallas tariff of 1816 was also a Protective Tariff to protect new American industry from foreign competition. Tariffs were considered the simplest, quickest, and least objectionable way to raise government funds. True enough for the time, but the “American System” of Economics and Tariffs turned out to be corruptible, because political leaders can be corrupt, partisan, and prone to shallow economic understanding. All human systems, including new AI systems, are subject to the human condition and its tendency toward self-centered moral blindness and hubris. Therein lie great dangers and potential disaster.

Top Problems with Abiogenesis

By Charles Creager, Jr.
Published: 25 November 2025

Before moving forward, we need to define our terms. The term abiogenesis specifically refers to the concept that life came naturally from nonliving chemicals. Some people will try to make the case for abiogenesis by defining it to include the creation of life by God. However, here we are going to specifically use the term abiogenesis to refer to a totally naturalistic idea for the origin of life. That is, it excludes, by definition, the involvement of any intelligent agency, whether it is God or aliens. Our use of the term is going to refer exclusively to a totally naturalistic origin of life.

Congress Issues the THC Industry a Sobering Prohibition

Congress is back and open for business! Democrat Senators put on a big show during the Schumer Shutdown of keeping the government closed to extend failed Obamacare subsidies, give federal benefits to illegal aliens, and undo the progress of the One Big, Beautiful Bill. Republicans held the line and scored the win! The victory did not come without one final challenge, though.

Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) led an effort in House Agriculture bills to close a loophole that allowed farmers to harvest Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) from hemp. This particular form of THC has been incorporated into gummies, energy beverages, beers, lotions, and various other products, which can be found in widely accessible locations such as gas stations and convenience stores. The marijuana industry took advantage of the lack of federal regulations regarding Delta-8 THC to create a booming business that harms Americans’ health, especially young people.

Five-Year VoterGA Battle Exposes Fulton County Ballot Cover-Up

ATLANTA — VoterGA presented detailed evidence Monday explaining why Fulton County has fought so hard to keep its 2020 election ballots from public view. At its press conference, co-founder Garland Favorito walked through a comprehensive timeline of his five-year struggle to obtain an independent copy of Fulton’s 2020 ballots. The journey began when Fulton failed to count his vote for a third-party candidate in the General Election and senior poll managers found counterfeit ballots in the hand count audit conducted on November 14-15, 2020. Favorito Petitioners filed one complaint on December 23, 2020 and Favorito filed another in 2024 after Fulton officials told all involved they preserved the ballots but Favorito repeatedly received replies to his Open Records Requests stating: “No responsive records exist.”

As a boss, he expected a lot. If you couldn't deliver, you wouldn't be around for long. If you could, he was amazing to work for. Think of any quality you want in a boss, and Dick Cheney had it.

Both Moldova and Transnistria were part of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (MASSR) until the Soviet Union broke up in 1991. They had been part of the Ukrainian SSR before 1924. Transnistria broke away from Moldova during the 1990-1991 process of Moldavan independence. There was war between Moldova and Transnistria in 1990-1992, in which about 500 civilians were killed. At that time, Ukraine backed the Transnistrians! Transnistrian independence is not officially recognized by most European Union and NATO countries.  Moldovans primarily speak the Moldovan dialect of Romanian, while Transnistria, which is a long and narrow strip of land between Moldova and Ukraine, is Russian speaking and pro-Russian. The present government of Moldova leans toward European Union and Western alliances, although it is constitutionally neutral, and there is a large pro-Russian minority, which may actually be a majority of those Moldovans currently living in Moldova.

Signing the Mayflower Compact on the Mayflower, while anchored off Cape Cod, near present-day Provincetown, Mass. - November 21, 1620.

“And he said, Hearken ye all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou, King Jehoshaphat:  Thus saith the Lord unto you, Fear you not, neither be afraid for this great multitude:  FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’S”  (2nd Chronicles 20:15-17; 1599 Geneva Bible).

For those of you who are unaware, the 1599 Geneva Bible was the Bible used by our PILGRIM Forefathers and mothers in 1620 (they didn’t trust the recently published King James Version because they disliked King James and his allegiance to The Church of England, with its “anti-Calvinist” inclinations), including his reported “inclination” to find other men “attractive”.  I’m sure it was often read and preached from during the dangerous and tedious 66-day Atlantic voyage from England to the New World during the harsh late fall weather of 1620.  Fierce storms and huge waves and horrible living conditions and constant sea sickness below decks would have turned most modern people back from whence they came.  Not so for these 102 stalwart souls who had determined to separate from their old world and, at least some of them trusting in God’s guidance, build a new and religiously separate colony on the barren coast of North America.

The passengers — traveling via Kenya — were held Thursday for roughly 12 hours after border officials found they lacked departure stamps, clear travel histories, return tickets, or confirmed accommodation in South Africa, officials said.

Many had reportedly not applied for asylum, despite stating they had fled the Gaza Strip.
