Fierce, Growling Dogs of Oppression
According to U.S. Attorney General William Barr, Antifa’s ultimate goal is world Communism, and their primary immediate goal toward that end is to bring down the Trump presidency.
Antifa is most active in the United States and Western Europe. Their common initial tactic in the subversion of democratic governments in both the U.S. and Europe is to employ extreme violence and the destruction of public and private property to create political disorder, discredit, the police, and intimidate the public and democratic leaders. They often try to goad police into reactions that might be used to undermine their credibility and authority. They have made local police forces their especially hated enemy. Lately, Antifa has stooped to threatening and harassing the families of police.

Without Truth There Can Be No freedom
As a former Air Force intelligence officer, I have always been a dabbler in languages and the cultures surrounding them. I was involved mostly in the more technological aspects of intelligence regarding the USSR and Communist China, but I learned enough Russian to enhance my understanding of Russian culture. One of the most fascinating subcultures of southern Russia and Ukraine are the Cossacks. They are a Slavic people but the origin of their name is said to be related to the shared Turkic and Russian word Kazak, originally meaning “the free men.” The Cossacks are famous for their military prowess, horsemanship, swift sabers, lively singing and dancing, and commitment to the Orthodox Church. They opposed the Communist Revolution in 1917 and backed the “White” Russians against the Reds. They suffered for it, but the Cossacks retain their historical attachment to honor, faith, and homeland.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) became the third Arab nation, besides Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994, to formally normalize diplomatic relations with Israel. The Abraham Accord was achieved as part of a major effort by the U.S. State Department under Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Polished Words without a Commitment to Truth
I found the Democratic National Convention speakers an alarming harbinger for the survival of freedom and truth in America. First, they have almost uniformly embraced the radical cultural, economic, and political worldview of Marxism. Second, beneath thin layers of clichés and shallow bromides and generalities, the real substance of their smooth rhetoric is stunningly dishonest and rampant with outrageous distortions. Their words and phrases may be polished but are designed for emotional persuasion unchecked and unhindered by truth and unconnected to sound logic. Today’s crowds often praise the form of rhetoric without requiring truth and logic in the content. This casts a grim shadow on the future of our American Republic.

Some Essential Background on Kamala Harris
Joe Biden may have approved Kamala Harris for the Vice Presidential nominee of the Democrat Party, but he did not pick her. The dominant leader in making that choice had to have been former President Barack Obama, but there were others whose opinion and political and personal influence were essential. Michelle Obama, of course, undoubtedly had a weighty personal influence. Congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer had to be part of that decision. The choice also had to be acceptable to Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Probably both former Obama attorney generals Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder had a heavy consultative influence, as well as current Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. The choice also had to be acceptable to Bill and Hillary Clinton.
