COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Healthcare US Co., Ltd., a venture of China-based Healthcare Co., Ltd., today announced plans to establish new operations in Fairfield County. The company’s $45 million investment is projected to create 250 new jobs.
Founded in Jiangsu, China in 2003, Healthcare Co., Ltd. is the first publicly-traded, memory-foam mattress manufacturer in China and is now the largest such manufacturer in that country. Becoming a global industry leader, the company has established production operations in both Serbia and Spain, with approximately 3,600 workers worldwide.

KV Final Launching New Spartanburg County Operations

Automotive Supplier to Create 50 Positions
COLUMBIA, S.C. – KV Final, a Czech developer and producer of metal parts for the automotive industry, is locating its new operations in Spartanburg County. The company’s $2.5 million investment is projected to create approximately 50 new jobs during its first phase of operation.
KV Final is a premiere manufacturer and supplier of stamped, machined and welded parts and assemblies for the automotive industry. With existing locations in China and the Czech Republic, the company’s new Spartanburg County plant will feature welding, clinching and degreasing processes, as well as local customer support.

DRÄXLMAIER Completes New Spartanburg County Expansion

Company creates an additional 460 jobs in Duncan, S.C.
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The DRÄXLMAIER Group, one of the world's top automotive suppliers, has completed a new expansion of its existing manufacturing operations in Spartanburg County. This expansion represents an investment of $42.7 million and the creation of 460 new jobs.
A tier one supplier to the international automotive industry and headquartered in Germany, DRÄXLMAIER manufactures interiors for premium automobiles and plastic components at its Duncan, S.C. site, which is located at 1751 East Main Street. Opened in 1998, the facility has been expanded three times since then, the last time in 2015 when DRÄXLMAIER constructed a 184,000-square-foot production and logistics building.

New collaboration to create unified, cloud-based platform to support South Carolina's logistics industry
COLUMBIA, S.C. - The S.C. Department of Commerce today announced a partnership between the state of South Carolina and the Fraunhofer USA Center for Experimental Software Engineering to bring state-of-the-art innovation to South Carolina industry and logistics providers.
This applied research and innovation project will be achieved by collaboration between the University of South Carolina (USC), Fraunhofer USA and two South Carolina firms -- Datos Consulting and G&P Trucking. Focused initially on the development of a cloud-based platform and data cybersecurity for transportation companies, this project has the ability to be developed to include other modes of freight movement in the future.
