INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA FOR 30+ YRS

INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA FOR OVER 30 YEARS!

I have to bite my tongue when folks say that they must have their hips replaced. They announce that they have no choice because they have a ‘bone on bone.” The really stupid part is they want to trade bone on bone for metal on metal. Any mechanic will tell you that is a terrible mistake! The recent recall of J&J’s DePuy hip replacements in 2010 is just one piece of evidence. In fact a California jury just awarded over $8 million in damages to a man for his failed ball and socket hip implant. And there have been others that have had shedding of metallic debris in their tissue causing serious damage, pain and permanent injuries.

Even Johnson and Johnson documents introduced at the trial disclosed that nearly 40% of the patients who received this ASR (articular surface replacement implant) will need a second operation within five years to have it removed and replaced!! Further documents showed that the executives were told by surgeons that the design was flawed. Their own surgical consultants recommended that the company stop the sales of the dangerous implant. But Johnson and Johnson abandoned the idea of stopping or re-designing because the implant sales did not justify the cost of redesign.

Over the years I have found that with proper treatment of the correct muscles utilizing my protocols, a patient can get better, usually tight muscles can mimic a bad hip or other joint.

Our office is the only one in this area that has the correct protocols.
