The Political Radicalization of the American Military

Leftist ideologies typically blind their adherents to reality. Furthermore, Leftist enforcement of ideologies that contradict reality and therefore don’t work tends to force them to ruthless coercion and violence.

Replacing Military Realism with Social Engineering
A recent news release claimed that China now has more naval ships than the United States. While this is true, the United States still has an advantage over China in global sea power. China is now the world’s leading naval ship builder, but most of the People’s Liberation Navy’s new ships are smaller coastal defense ships. Although smaller and shorter range, they are equipped with the latest technology in radar and cruise missiles. In terms of firepower as reflected in naval tonnage, the Chinese Navy has 2.0 million tons, whereas the U.S. Navy has 4.8 million tons and still has technological superiority.

Texas Governor’s Operation Lone Star Strikes Back
![Texas Governor Greg Abbott Texas Governor Greg Abbott](/images/Texas-Governor-Greg-Abbott_1199.jpg)
The Biden Regime’s deliberate and massive open border crisis is aimed at destroying Texas and rebuilding it on the socialist, cultural Marxist model. The Federal Government is constitutionally responsible for immigration policy but under the new regime, it is fueling chaos rather than securing the border and assuring the economic welfare and public safety of the people of Texas. The Biden regime’s immigration policies are blatantly unethical and seriously violate the U.S. Constitution. Biden’s actions do not fit any model of common sense. In fact, they violate every principle of honor and threaten the survival of Texas and other states. They cannot be tolerated by Texas or any other state. On March 6, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) launched Operation Lone Star, integrating the DPS and Texas National Guard to combat smuggling people and drugs into Texas.

My mother, Wanda Bradsher Scruggs, passed away in 2007 at the age of 91, but a few years before that she shared with me some memories of the Civil War and Reconstruction related to her by her grandparents, Jack and Cindy Ross Bradsher. My mother was the daughter of the youngest of their seven sons, W. C. Bradsher. Jack and Cindy Bradsher also had four daughters. Both the Bradsher and the Ross families were farmers whose parents had come to northeastern Arkansas in covered wagons in the late 1850’s. The Bradsher family had come from North Carolina, and the Ross family had come from Kentucky. Jack Bradsher, being a hard worker, very astute, and affable became a very successful farmer whose sons became successful community leaders in medicine, pharmacy, farming, business, education, and the ministry. Jack Brandisher’s farm was near Marmaduke, Arkansas, about 9 miles from Missouri and named for Confederate General, John S. Marmaduke, who later became Governor of Missouri. Both my mother and father grew up in Paragould, Arkansas, a larger town about 12 miles south of Marmaduke.

Twenty Years of Liberal Dominated Immigration Policy
In August 2001, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) published a study by James G Gimpel and Karen Kaufmann of the University of Maryland that concluded:
“Current immigration policy is slowly but steadily sifting the nation’s electorate toward the Democratic Party.”
On November 13, ten days after the 2020 election, CIS published a study confirming that immigration over the last 20 years has had a dramatic effect on American politics and favored progressive Democrat politicians and policies. The study was based on the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey from 2000 to 2020 and found that the U.S. electorate had grown 15 percent, but the number of voting age immigrants and their children had increased by 71 percent. As a share of total eligible voters, immigrants and their children increased from 14 percent to 20 percent. The most dramatic increases were predominantly in the South. North Carolina went from 4 to 12 percent, Georgia from 4 to 13 percent, Virginia from 7 to 16 percent, Texas from 14 to 25 percent, and Maryland from 12 to 23 percent.
