Second Lieutenant Victoria Inman, a 2015 Graduate of Furman University with a degree in Political Science, is assigned to the South Carolina National Guard.
Beginning in January 2016 she will attend the Medical service Corps Officer Basic Course in Texas. Following successful completion of the Medical Service course, she will begin helicopter pilot training at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
After receiving her pilot training and returning to her unit in Columbia, South Carolina, Lieutenant Inman will become the first female medivac pilot to serve in the South Carolina National Guard.
Lieutenant Inman is the daughter of an active duty career soldier stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Inman was one of two women commissioned by the United States Army ROTC program at Furman University last month.
