Progressive activists are outraged that the Border Patrol pepper sprayed caravan members attempting to break through the border fence. They blame Donald Trump.
Except, Barack Obama's Border Patrol did the exact same thing for the same reason.
A group of about 100 people trying to illegally cross the border Sunday near the San Ysidro port of entry threw rocks and bottles at U.S. Border Patrol agents, who responded by using pepper spray and other means to force the crowd back into Mexico, federal officials said.
The partisan bellyaching about what happened over the weekend is just that -- partisan bellyaching. The Border Patrol is neither Donald Trump's nor is it Barack Obama's. They are responding to a horde of illegal immigrants trying to storm their way into American territory. They are doing their job now as they did their job then.
