Aurora Farms is Greenville’s newest and most unique barn venue in the area. Located at 1045 Milford Church Road, Taylors, SC, the venue is just 11 miles northeast of downtown Greenville. On Saturday, December 1, from 11am until 3pm, Aurora Farms will have an “Open House” celebration. The celebration begins at 11am with the Greenville Chamber of Commerce on hand to cut the ribbon.
Joining them will be over 15 local vendors who will be sharing their expertise: Holly Goshorn, HG Photography; Ashleigh Howard, Baking by Ashleigh; Impressions Salon; Blue Bird Notes; Charming the Carolinas Event Planning; FamZing Video; Vahz Floral Design; Empire LTD Formal Wear; Laurenda’s Catering; Avventura Weddings; Lusther Events Drapery; Heather Matthews, Make Up; and Doreyl Ammons Cain, Visual Artist. Music will be provided by 7th Heaven Harp (11am—Noon), BellaNova Electric Strings (Noon—2pm), Blue Line Entertainment DJ (2—3pm).“It is a family affair that has been dreamed about for years,” says Yvonne Fortner, co-owner and event planner. “To see it become a reality is so exciting! We want everyone to come share the day with us and see what we have to offer.”
Aurora Farms Event Venue is designed for any celebratory event, including weddings, receptions, anniversaries, birthday parties, holiday parties, reunions, corporate events, church events, charity events, and more. The 4,500 square foot venue offers an indoor seating capacity of 250 people and an outdoor event option on a back patio with a large willow tree. Inside features include a full commercial baking and prep kitchen, air conditioning and heating throughout, separate private dressing rooms for bridal parties, and a floor to ceiling fireplace.
About the Operation:
Aurora Farms is owned and operated by Mike and Yvonne Fortner. The Fortner’s are the proud parents of a son, Steven, and identical twin daughters, Holly (the venue’s photographer) and Ashleigh (the venue’s baker). And as both daughters were married just five months apart, all are extremely familiar with how difficult it can be to work within a limited budget. Other members of the venue family include Mike’s mom and dad, and Yvonne’s mother and aunt.
