NGU Hosts Career Fair for first PA Medicine program Class of 2018.

Tigerville, SC – North Greenville University’s Physician Assistant (PA) Medicine program recently hosted its first career fair at its Tim Brashier campus in Greer in November. The event brought employers to the campus to meet NGU’s first PA Medicine Class of 2018 that will graduate this Saturday, Dec. 8. Employers were able to meet the students, discuss employment opportunities, arrange interviews or conduct preliminary screening of candidates.

“The NGU PA program appreciates the participation of local medical facilities in our inaugural career fair. It provided our students with the opportunity to explore the various career opportunities in the local area and allowed the facilities the chance to meet all of our graduates and tour our state-of-the-art facility,” said Department of PA Medicine Program Director Jordan Hairr. “We look forward to continued partnerships with the local hospitals and medical offices.”

Medical facility participants included this year were: Ortho Carolina of Charlotte, NC, Bon Secours St. Francis of Greenville, Carolina Health Centers of Greenwood, and ReGenesis Health Care of Spartanburg.

All 20 members of NGU’s PA Medicine Class of 2018 were present; nine participated in one-on-one interviews. Also, all 24 members of NGU’s PA Medicine Class of 2019 attended, as well as two members of Gardner Webb University’s PA School Class of 2019, and one recent graduate from the Medical University of South Carolina.
