INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Bob Jones University will announce its  membership in University Center Greenville Wednesday, Jan. 30, during a press conference at the University Center beginning at 2 p.m. Executives from BJU and the University Center will participate in the press conference.

In conjunction with the membership announcement, BJU will celebrate the grand opening of its School for Continuing, Online, and Professional Education (SCOPE), which it is locating at University Center. An open house of the new facility will be held from 1:30—5 p.m.

Membership in University Center Greenville, which provides degrees from regionally accredited universities in fields aligned with Upstate South Carolina’s job market, is part of BJU’s efforts to serve online and nontraditional students. We will join Anderson University, Clemson University, Converse College, Furman University, Greenville Technical College, the University of South Carolina and USC Upstate in meeting Greenville’s adult education needs.

SCOPE offerings are primarily designed for non-traditional students 25 or older who desire to complete a degree or participate in certificate programs that enhance employment skills. In addition to dual enrollment classes and online master’s degree programs, our recently launched RN to BSN program will be available through SCOPE. BJU plans to develop both credit and non-credit certificate programs in areas such as healthcare, technology, project management and education as well as degree completion programs.

The press conference and open house are open to the public. Please direct any questions to Randy Page, Chief of Staff, at 864.241.1655 (office) or 803.466.0789 (cell).
