Valentine’s Day is a festive event at Washington Center. Celebrating the 20th year of the school’s annual Valentine’s Day Pageant and Dance, students, ages 18 and older, looked amazing in their dressy attire. Volunteers from Shannon Forest and Eastside high schools escorted the Washington Center participants down the red carpet. After the student presentations, ties were loosened, heels were kicked off and the musical jams began. Washington Center’s special benefactor, affectionately known as “Mysterious Grandpa,” furnished corsages and boutonnieres for the pageant participants and stuffed animals for all students. Students, parents, staff and visitors enjoyed a memorable Valentine’s Day 2019.
