“O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” - Psalm 107:1-2 (KJV)
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good: his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe.” - Psalm 107:1-2 (NIV)

One of my great “Heroes of the Christian Faith”—a man who I admired for decades--was the late Rev. Dr. D. James Kennedy (1930-2007), Founder and long time Pastor of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Founder of Evangelism Explosion International (the first Bible ministry to be established in EVERY nation and territory on the planet). For many years he was Chancellor of Knox Theological Seminary, and was the Founder of the Center For Christian Statesmanship in Washington, D.C. He was also the Founder of theCenter For Reclaiming America, a nationwide network of Christian activists and Bible believers whose goal was to restore virtue to American culture.

There are no saviors or miracles in democracy, only a grueling, soul-sucking, forever war of attrition. That is the enduring lesson of the 2022 midterms, as it is every election. And, though the results will be overinterpreted by pundits, and partisans will have all their priors confirmed, in the end, it is simply proof that American "democracy" is working.
Overall, it was a disappointing night for Republicans, no doubt, considering the high expectations and the president's low approval ratings. Though, as of this writing, the GOP looks like it might win the House and has a shot at the Senate, as well. It's no small thing. But let's not forget, we're all winners when D.C. is mired in gridlock; not only is it the most accurate representation of the national electorate's mood but it means the system is working.
Science Versus Scientism
- Details
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
Science and scientism are radically different things despite the similarity in their names. Science is a methodology for studying the natural world and how it works. Scientism on the other hand is a philosophical and metaphysical perspective on science. There are three men ways of defining scientism.
- It can be seen as an excessive belief in the power of scientific knowledge and methodology.
- It sees science as the only objective way of determining truth.
- It includes the unwarranted application of science to areas that do not lend themselves to scientific inquiry.

The 2014 Maidan Revolution

According to Eric Zuesse, writing in Strategic Culture (September 5, 2016), in 2011, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was tasked by President Obama to overthrow the democratically elected President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, and Syrian President Bashar-al-Assad in Syria by means of “color revolutions.” Color revolutions are opportunistic regime changes by “popular revolutions,” which are clandestinely planned, directed, and financed by CIA sources, often assisted by the British MI6 foreign intelligence services. The CIA Director at that time was John Brennan. John Kerry replaced Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State in February 2013. The objective of such color revolutions is supposedly to spread the rule of democratic government.

One of the benefits of living a long time is that a person can mentally retrieve many recollections of people and places and events that were significant to him and to many others, once upon a time. More and more I find myself drawn to an era and its unique remembrances that has just about disappeared from our people’s mental histories, a time that is almost as unknown to today’s younger Americans as the time of our great-grandparents was unknown to us. That time, for me, was the World War 11 era, from the late 1930’s up through the late-1950’s. That was my “golden age”, and those who shared those end-of-depression and war-ravaged, yet in so many ways, halcyon years with me know that in many respects it was a much different, and far better, country then compared to the one in which we live today.
The State of America Makes Midterm Choices Clear
- Details
- By Adriana Cohen
During a debate with Jimmy Carter in 1980, Ronald Reagan famously asked, "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?" Which is a sensible and basic question that's been asked in political races ever since -- and next week's midterm elections are no different.
As Americans head to the polls on Tuesday, one ought to consider if you, your family or your business is better off today under Democrat control of one's state and one-party rule in Washington, or not. Unless you like paying significantly higher prices for essential items like food, gas, rent, heating bills and just about everything else, I suspect the answer is no.
Are the Days in Genesis One Literal Regular Earth Days?
- Details
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
One of the common ways that people try to reconcile the creation account in Genesis with the claim that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old is that they tried to claim that the days of the creation week are not ordinary earth days. They will either claim that they are figurative for long periods of time or that they were actual days just extremely long ones. The reason they tried to do this is that they have been convinced that science has proven the earth to be 4.5 billion years old. They are usually totally ignorant of the fact that this date is based on an Atheistic model of the Earth’s origin that assumes the Bible is wrong. but what does the Bible really say?
