Focusing on Missing Cats and Dogs Misses Much More Important Issues
Springfield, Ohio, is a city in mid-western Ohio that had a population of 59.000 in 2020. But now in 2024, it has in addition 15,000 to 20,000 immigrants from Haiti, and most of these came in 2024. I believe 20,000 is the most credible figure, which continues to grow. At a September 9 City Council meeting, many Springfield residents expressed their outrage at the City Council for agreeing to or letting this happen. The issue of missing pets was far overshadowed by issues of public safety, housing problems, “squatters” infringing on homes, concern for their children, and the burden on education, healthcare, and the tax base. At least one woman said she and her husband have had enough; it was time to leave Springfield. Many others are undoubtedly now thinking of leaving Springfield. She further complained:
“It is so unsafe in my neighborhood… I have the homeless that were trying to camp out, and I have made concessions with them … I have men that cannot speak English in my front yard screaming at me, throwing mattresses in my front yard. I understand they’re here under temporary protected status … but who’s protecting us?”
She was right. Hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Venezuelans have been granted protected status under a special parole system for immigrants coming from nations deemed by the Biden Administration to be suffering from “unstable situations.” Haiti has been unstable at least since a 2021 change of government. However, Haiti has a long history—more than a century—of political, economic, and social instability. Moreover, the Administration has encouraged them to migrate to the United States. The present Immigrant Parole System provides little background vetting or criminal record screening.
Biden’s CHNV (Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela) Parole Program was not legislation. It was created by administrative fiat in 2022 and has been expanded by fiat several times in 2023 and 2024. Under the CHNV program, 30,000 minimally vetted immigrants per month are flown to U.S. locations by contracted airlines or government aircraft. According to both the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) and the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the program is loaded with exploitable fraud. New arrivals in the U.S. often go to sweat shops and “massage parlors.” Unvetted financial sources usually pay their airfare. The language establishing the CHNV program is “humanitarian,” but this itself is a fraud. The CHNV Program is thoroughly corrupt, and its real purpose is to flood the U.S. with cheap labor and future Democrat voters. CIS believes that Kamala Harris is the most radical of all American politicians on immigration. See these three articles:

According to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the U.S. Census Bureau Current Population Survey (CPS) showed 852,000 Haitian immigrants in the country in February 2024, more than triple the number in 1990 and double the number in 2000. If we add the 689,000 U.S born citizens with at least one parent born in Haiti (“birthright citizens”), the number rises to over 1.5 million. Sixty-nine percent of the foreign born have become naturalized citizens under a special Biden acceleration program.
About 17 percent of Haitian immigrants between the ages of 17 and 64 have less than a high school education compared to less than 7 percent of U.S. born Americans. Skill levels are also low. However, 23 percent have college degrees, compared to 38 percent of the general population of American born citizens. Interestingly, 80 percent Haitian college graduates leave Haiti, which contributes to the prevailing poverty and lack of economic development in Haiti. In 2024, the IMF (International Monetary Fund) average annual per capita price adjusted GDP in Haiti is only $3,107, ranked 168 of 190 countries. The International Median in 2024 was about $16,700, over 5 times the average of Haiti. Fifty-three percent of U.S. households headed by a Haitian use at least one major welfare program, compared the 28 percent for native-born Americans. Thus Springfield is going to be carrying a sharply increased fiscal burden.
For 2024, the World Population Review presents a Crime Index for crimes reported per 100,000 population. The problem with all crime statistics these days is that many crimes are not reported, and the worse crime gets the less likely they are to be reported. The World Population Review has a 2024 Crime Index for the United States at 49.2. Venezuela has the highest crime rate at 82.1, while Haiti is fourth highest with an index 0f 78.3, just behind Afghanistan at 78.4.
A good source of Crime Statistic is Dr. John Lott’s Crime Prevention Research Center. There are many political and economic influences that do not want accurate crime statistics, so readers are advised to be wary. FBI statistics are based on reported crimes, which therefore tend to understate crime problems. Moreover, fewer than half of police departments fully report crime statistics to the FBI, for example, New York, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Nevertheless, for the Biden-Harris years of 2021 through 2023, violent crime rose 55 percent, rape 42 percent, robbery 53 percent, and aggravated assault 67 percent. The people of Springfield are guided by their own impressions rather than statistics, but those impressions are likely to have a significant correlation to reality. Springfield politicians are not going to be successful at ignoring Springfield’s politically imposed “unstable situation.”
Springfield is the largest city in Clark County, which coincides with the Springfield Metropolitan area, with a population of 136,000. Both Springfield and Clark County have been declining since about 1970 due to deindustrialization and movement of manufacturing jobs overseas. In 2010, the population was about 86 percent white. The county votes republican. Of the 64,000 votes cast for President in 2016, 57 percent were for Trump. If 10,000 new Haitian voters participate in Clark County’s vote for Kamala Harris, Trump could lose by a narrow margin, especially if Republican voters start moving away from Springfield and Clark County.
Why is the Biden-Harris government pouring Haitian immigrants into Springfield? The answer should be obvious. This is an important part of the Demographic Strategy of Democrat Power Politics. They must overcome conservative majorities by changing local, Congressional District, and State demographics.
How can they get away with this? How does the Federal Government have the right to reshape or destroy communities, cities, and even states to consolidate one-party, one-narrative rule? The corporate lust for cheap labor has been a powerful factor. White-guilt virtue-signaling narratives and Cancel Culture have played a substantial role in intimidating and muting common sense opposition. Truth, however, is reality, and ignoring reality for long can have terrible, costly, and fatally destructive consequences.
Maybe a few Haitians in Springfield resorted to a desperate diet. Maybe not. Not reported to the police does not mean not done. This issue is as unlikely to be resolved as it is trivial. The monstrous real issue is the destructive tyranny the Biden-Kamala Harris regime has been perpetrating against American communities and the American people in using both legal and illegal immigration to reshape America into a Jacobin ultra-leftist totalitarian nightmare.
Is your community safe from the Biden-Harris CHNV Parole Program? No, but we can change that on November 5.
The Biden-Kamala Harris regime and their captive media have been a bullying firehose of deception, and the Presidential Election is less than two months away. As Jonathan Swift warned in “The Examiner” in 1710, a Lie if believed for an hour, can do its damage before truth arrives to save its victims. Falsehood flies, and Truth may arrive too late. Mark Twain is attributed to this explanation of our dilemma:
“A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”
Patriotic Americans who want to preserve their freedoms, our Constitutional Republic, and our Judeo-Christian traditions need to get their shoes on. NOW.
