Jacob Dill of Greenville awarded gold stars for fall 2018 at The Citadel

CHARLESTON, SC (01/31/2019)-- Jacob Dill of Greenville, South Carolina is among the 446 cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements during the fall 2018 semester.
Gold stars are awarded to cadets and students at The Citadel who achieved a 3.7 grade point average or higher. Cadets and students who achieve gold star recognition are also placed on The Citadel's dean's list.

American Legion Post 3 Hosts Oratorical Scholarship Program

The Annual American Legion Post 3 High School Oratorical Scholarship program with them "A Constitutional Speech Contest," was held this past Saturday morning at the Post. Left to right: Isaac Jansen, who was judged the winner and Lonnie Kilgore who was judged runner up. Isaac's Constitutional oration was title "For Democracy." Both students received a financial scholarship for their participation that will be given to them when they enroll into college. Isaac will represent Post 3 at the 2nd phase on Saturday, February 16th, 2019.
