American Legion Unit 3 Auxiliary and American Legion Department of SC Poppy Chairman Carol Burrell presents a children's book, The Poppy Lady, to Sevier Middle School Principal Chad Maguire. The presenation was in memory of the Poppyies which were originally grown in Flandors Field in Belgium and today is used to memorialize the fallen heroes of military veterans in various countries in Europe.

Hunley Offers Free Tickets to All Active and Retired Military During Veterans’ Day Weekend Tours

North Charleston, SC – Friends of the Hunley is celebrating Veteran’s Day all weekend by offering free tickets to all active and retired military personnel. The free tickets for our armed services will be available both Saturday, November 10th from 10 – 5PM and Sunday, November 11th from 12 - 5PM. Active servicemen and women and veterans will need to show identification for free access to see the world’s first successful combat submarine and artifacts found onboard. The Hunley attraction also has 7500 square feet of new, interactive exhibit space.
