INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Trump Holds Strong Lead in all three Early Primary States, Cruz Passes Carson in Iowa. Stop Trump PAC Forming.

“I think it will come down to Trump and Cruz, to tell you the truth,” said former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin in an interview with WBT-FM in Charlotte, North Carolina last Thursday.

“People are really tired of professional politicians who won’t call it like they see it and maybe don’t have life experiences that allow them to prove a track record of success.

“That’s refreshing about Trump. He’s a fighter. We know he’s going to put America first. And he really nailed it early on what the main problems are in America right now.”

Palin stressed in the interview that she sees a Trump win as a real possibility. At the same time,  she sees Ted Cruz having a “strong shot” at wining the White House. She said there is a possibility that people are “going to recognize that Cruz knows what he is doing and that he’s a great guy. He could certainly put the country back on the right track,”

Palin praised Cruz after the third Republican debate for “schooling the media. And that is what the American people are craving.” Palin told NEWSMAX TV that “the media has been so poor and so unfair that when Cruz spanked them – they deserved to be spanked. It seemed like they kind of behaved a little bit better after that,” she said.

Palin told NEWSMAX that some of the candidates should quit, because”they are wasting ammunition on one another.”

In Iowa, the terrorist attacks in Paris seem to be pulling voters away from Carson and to Cruz. Iowa voters are concerned that Carson is not prepared to deal with the serious terrorist threat, whereas Cruz appears to be much more prepared to become the Commander-in-Chief on day one.

While Trump is crude and blunt in his language, he appears to many Americans to be precisely what is needed if we are to reverse the mistakes, both intentional and unintentional, made by the Obama Administration during their 8 years in office.

Retired career military leaders are almost unanimously convinced that a “Churchill” or “George Patton” style  leader is essential if America is to win the war against Islamic terrorists and return our republic to the Constitution.

Trump is wasting no time getting the word out that he would be a tough Commander-in-Chief.  He said Sunday that he would return to strong interrogation techniques such as water boarding.

Trump informed George Stephanopoulos on ABCs This Week, that, “You know, they don’t use water boarding over there, they use chopping off people’s heads.”

The Republican National Committee and the donors who seek political influence using political donations, are determined to prevent Donald Trump from winning the Republican Primary and becoming the Republican candidate.

The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday that an organization called Trump Card LLC has been formed for the specific purpose of destroying Trump’s chances of winning.  Former RNC employee Liz Mair is heading up the organization. Elimination of Trump would benefit Jeb Bush, the favorite of the elite GOP liberal establishment. With Trump in the race Bush has little or no chance getting the nomination.

It should be noted that regardless of the choices made by the voters in the Republican primary, the RNC controls the convention and  could manipulate the rules to nominate their choice candidate. Of course that would destroy the Republican Party, however, some of the party leaders would prefer to destroy the party and elect Hillary Clinton president than to elect Trump or someone more conservative.

Newsmax reported that Republican strategist Rick Wilson, currently working for a Rubio super OAC, has offered to prepare attack ads hitting Trump on his record. Wilson told The Wall Street Journal that he believes there will be many people donating to the anti-Trump effort. The party line will be that Trump will “destroy the Republican party and lose the election to Hillary Clinton.”

The goal of the Trump Card organization is to “keep Trump supporters from voting, not to convert them into backing other candidates.” This neutral stance on other candidates will entice candidates to give some of their campaign war chest to the Trump Card effort, they hope.

Trump Card hopes to collect a quarter-million dollars from other candidates to support their “stop Trump efforts.”

Trump Card could backfire on the RNC and Jeb Bush and end up motivating Trump supporters and  attracting more voters to his camp.
