The House and Senate announced that they will meet together this week to discuss funding of the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Labor, Health and Human Services (Labor-HHS) appropriations packages. The House never passed a Labor-HHS bill, so they are planning to accept the Senate’s version, even though it has funding for Planned Parenthood. In addition, they plan to keep it attached to the DOD appropriations bill which will force Republicans to take a vote that funds the military in exchange for continuing the evil practices of abortion clinics.
This will be the last chance for Republicans to stand up for the financial integrity of Americans before the November elections. They can choose to separate the two bills and defund Planned Parenthood. Having a vote on their record that supports the killing of the unborn would be devastating and could put the chances of a Republican majority in jeopardy.
