The Democrats’ Coming Defeat
- By Mona Charen
"There is a tide in the affairs of men" -- Shakespeare
Yes, but undertows, too. As Obama, Pelosi, and Reid rush to transform America into a European-style social democratic state, they must be nervous; they must feel the sand sliding under their feet. The 2010 elections are just over the horizon and the omens are not encouraging for them. Thomas Jefferson warned that "Great innovations should not be forced on slender majorities." Maybe so. But the Democrats may be calculating that a slender majority is better than an anorexic majority, or no majority at all.

Fred Schlafly Was the Best Man
- By Eagle Forum
SPOILER ALERT: A new Hollywood drama tries to defame Fred Schlafly by portraying him as a rapist! Nothing could be further from the truth. This terrible depiction of my honorable father is an attempt to discredit the loving relationship that truly existed between my mother and father. I know the truth because my bedroom was next to their bedroom!
Read about their real relationship in this beautiful eulogy of her husband Fred, written by my mother, Phyllis Schlafly:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.”

Tough but also Tender
- By Anne Schlafly Cori
Phyllis Schlafly intimidated people who did not know her, mostly because she spoke with firm conviction. She was tough and relentless in a debate. She excelled and rose to the occasion when she had opposition.
“Tough” was a word she liked to use. As a mother, she would answer her children with the word “tough” whenever we tried to squirm out of doing a chore. In other words, “tough” because she was in charge and you will do what she tells you. Or “tough” as in, you ought to toughen up and not whine or be a cry-baby.

Trump Wins by Framing the Debate
- By John & Andy Schlafly
Prior Republican presidents allowed their opponents and the media to set the agenda. The more liberal the past GOP president, the more he took his daily cues from television and newspapers controlled by the Left.
But not Trump. He tweets out what he wants people to talk about, and he has his adversaries scrambling to respond to what Trump says, not vice-versa.

Opportunity at the Border
- By John & Andy Schlafly
Reports that Stephen Miller is back in charge on border security are welcome, and even overdue. The departure of Kirstjen Nielsen as Secretary of Homeland Security creates a golden opportunity for President Trump and the American people to take control of our southern border, just in time for Trump’s reelection campaign.
