CONSPIRACIES - Past, Present, Future (Part 1 of 2)
- By W.H. Lamb

“In politics, nothing happens by accident; if it happens you can bet it was planned that way.” (Attributed- probably inaccurately- to President Franklin Roosevelt.)
I assume that most of us are aware of the concept of “conspiracies” throughout world history, and we’ve probably heard that term used for much of our lives. Even today we hear the ridicule of political conspiracies, often from popular but ill-informed “talking head pundits” all over the political spectrum who love to attack and disparage “conspiracy theorists” (people who are convinced that there are genuine conspiracies among us at this very time, based on evidence they feel is compelling). The more politically astute and educated among us like to discuss the pros and cons regarding whether “conspiracies”—political or otherwise-- have existed in the past or exist now, and what has been the affect upon history of such activities. I suggest that the first order of investigation into “conspiracies” is to define the word:

Does America have A Christian Heritage or Not? Part 3 of 3
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
President Harry Truman, crusty old Democrat that he was, said the following while he was POTUS: “This is a Christian nation. In this great country of ours has been demonstrated the fundamental unity of Christianity and democracy.” He was correct in the first part, and misleading at the end, since I’m certain that he knew that the U.S. was established as a Constitutional Republic, and purposely NOT as a “democracy”, which our wise Founders, from their Biblical knowledge and their study of history, regarded as one of the WORST forms of government, and they were correct about that. (Using the word “democracy” in any way to describe our REPUBLIC is semantically misleading at best, labels one as a mal-educated person, and is semantically incorrect, especially when used by those who should know better, or even worse—by those who have subversive and anti-constitutional republic agendas as their goal!)

Just Who Is This Jesus? An Exploration Into God’s Miracles
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
“I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; a Scepter shall rise out of Israel…” (Numbers 24:17). Considering that the Holy Spirit inspired Moses to write The Book of Numbers around 1500 years before our Lord Jesus was born among mankind, it’s obvious to us alive today who the “Star” that was to come out of Jacob was --- and the identity of the “Scepter” that would rise out of Israel. But to the descendants of Abraham, the people who would become known to history as “Jews”, as they wandered in the wilderness for around 40 years before God allowed them into what is today called “the Holy Land”, it may not have been so clear. To some “doubting Thomas’s” of this age, it’s still not clear!

Does America Have a Christian Heritage or Not? Part 2 of 3
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
Last time we explored some possibilities as to whether or not our troubled country, the U.S.A., was originally established as a Christian-oriented nation by people who were mostly Christians. One thing is certain when delving into our history: The Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America was deliberately NOT established as a “Theocracy” and in fact, our Founders were aghast at the notion of such a form of government (as I would have been). Nor was it founded as a “Democracy”, which our Founders, in their wisdom, recognized as one of the WORST forms of government. Many of our modern-day politicians, feeble-brained Dumbocrats and RINOS that they are, seem to always forget this fact (or ignore it ON PURPOSE)! I trust that you, my readers, know the vital differences between a “republic” and a “democracy”, and WHY we should keep it that way! (For a thorough explanation of that subject, log on to timesexaminer.com—LOCAL COLUMNISTS, and then on my name, for a list of my archived articles, an then on the title: “This is a constitutional republic, not a democracy. Let’s keep it that way!”, published on March 25, 2019

Does America Have a Christian Heritage, or Not? Part 1 of 3
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
HERITAGE. What exactly does the word mean, and what does it imply? Dictionary.com defines “heritage” as follows”
- Something that is handed down from the past, as a tradition: e.g. “a national heritage of honor, pride, and courage”;
- Something that comes or belongs to one by reason of birth; an inherited lot or portion; e.g. “a heritage of poverty and suffering”;
- Something reserved for one; e.g. “the heritage of the righteous”;
- In Law: Something that has been or may be inherited by legal descent or succession.
Those definitions seem fairly straightforward. So why is it that when people of seeming intelligence and good will discuss whether or not the United States of America was founded as a “Christian Oriented Nation”, and more pointedly, were most of our Founding Fathers “Christians”, a great cloud comes over their minds, and the darkness of false teachings, closed-mindedness, and deliberate mendacity begins to reign supreme?

Who Is On Our Side? Musings For Thanksgiving Past
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
“And he said, Hearken ye all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou, King Jehoshaphat: Thus saith the Lord unto you, Fear you not, neither be afraid for this great multitude: FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’S” (2nd Chronicles 20:15-17; 1599 Geneva Bible).
For those of you who are unaware, the 1599 Geneva Bible was the Bible used by our PILGRIM Forefathers and mothers (they didn’t trust the King James Version because they disliked King James and his allegiance to The Church of England, with its “anti-Calvinist” inclinations). I’m sure it was often read and preached from during the dangerous and tedious 66-day Atlantic voyage from England to the New World during the harsh fall and winter of 1620. Fierce storms and huge waves and horrible living conditions below decks would have turned most modern people back from whence they came. Not so for these 104 stalwart souls who had determined to separate from their old world and, at least some of them trusting in God’s guidance, build a new and religiously separate colony on the barren coast of North America.

Asking The Lord’s Blessing – More Thanksgiving Thoughts
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
“We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing; He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing; Sing praises to His name, He forgets not his own.
“Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining; ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine.
So from the beginning the fight we were winning; thou, Lord, wast at our side, all glory be Thine.
“We all do extol Thee, Thou leader triumphant; and pray that Thou still our defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation; Thy name be ever praised, O Lord, make us free!”
Who in the Christian world doesn’t recognize that great old Thanksgiving hymn? The words and music are from The Netherlands of the 16th century, and it was arranged in its present form by Edward Kremser (1838-1914). Since the hymn originated in the same country (Holland, or The Netherlands) that our Separatist Pilgrim Forefathers and Mothers lived in as exiles from England from 1608 to 1620 (and for many of those same Separatists much longer than that), I’m sure that our “Plimoth” Pilgrims may have sung that song, or at least a version of it, very often during their 12 year sojourn in Holland, to which they had fled to escape the extreme persecution inflicted upon them by the despised and feared King James and by the harsh hierarchy of The Church of England. (On the other hand, the Separatist Pilgrims sang mostly from the Psalms, so whether or not they ever sang this old hymn I can’t say with certainty.)

What’s In The Box? A Thanksgiving Meditation

“…Pilgrim history (is) a story which has no end. It will end only if people suffer a failure of nerve in the quest for basic human rights. It can honestly be said that ALL who cherish freedom are Pilgrim descendants.” - Rev. Gary Marks, “Pilgrims Then and Now” Plymouth, Mass. (1990)
(Note: I don’t pretend to be an authority on Pilgrim History, but I am quite knowledgeable about it, because my wife. who is descended from at least three Mayflower passengers, is a life-long member of the National/State Society of Mayflower Descendants, and we’ve attended many Mayflower Society meetings together over the years. In the early 1990’s I presented the program for the Fall meeting of the S.C. Society of Mayflower Descendants. This and the following two articles will center on these amazing people who, in obeying what they believed were the teachings of their Savior, Jesus the Messiah, changed history!)

November 11, 1938: The Day That “God Blessed America”
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
One of the benefits of living a long time is that a person can mentally retrieve many recollections of people and places and events that were significant to him and to many others, once upon a time. More and more I find myself drawn to an era and its unique remembrances that has just about disappeared from our people’s mental histories, a time that is almost as unknown to today’s younger Americans as the time of our great-grandparents was unknown to us. That time, for me, was the World War 11 era, from the late 1930’s up through the late-1950’s. That was my “golden age”, and those who shared those halcyon years with me know that in many respects it was a much different, and far better, country then compared to the one in which we live today. I’m saddened for those of you who will never know how wonderful it truly was.

Anne Livingston—An Ambassador For Christ—A Doctor For People’s Souls And Bodies! (Part 2)
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
Last time I reviewed how I first met Dr. Anne, and how she prepared for her call from God to be a Christian missionary. We also reported on some of her “challenges” and victories centered around her work in Haiti, which many, if not most, Americans would consider as being too dangerous and too frustrating. But as Dr. Anne has amply demonstrated, “with God NOTHING is impossible”, and overcoming problems is a result of strong and fervent prayer, even overcoming a fractured hip on the day before she was to return to the U.S. Recall that Dr. Anne first went to Haiti in 1987. I’ll pick up her story at that point:

“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.” - Matthew 14:14
No—this wonderful story isn’t about me. I’d like to tell you, in her own words, about a friend that I met several years ago at the business in which I work part time (writing for The Times Examiner seems to be my “full time” job). We had another mutual friend who would tell me about the “adventures” of a missionary/doctor friend of hers, and eventually I got a chance to meet this unique lady, a physician/surgeon/missionary to Haiti whose name is Dr. Anne Livingston, during her occasional visits back to Greenville.

Annie Moore From Ireland, Who Was All Of 17 Years

One of the most divisive issues facing Americans today is the issue of immigration into the U.S. – most especially the truly troubling ILLEGAL variety of immigration! For decades, and probably much longer, we have been faced with the specter of hordes of “undocumented” invaders crossing over our borders, or overstaying their visas, for sundry purposes -- ostensibly to seek a better life for themselves and their children and become “WELFARE LEECHES” but, in some cases, to infiltrate their poisonous hatred of our relatively free American culture into our body politic, as they seek to extend their insane and Satanically-induced Islamic beliefs and violence from their own despotic countries into ours.

Other sources from which I quote somewhat freely will be listed at the end.)

Where Is Your “Isle Of Innisfree”?
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
What, you ask, is “an Isle of Innisfree”? It is a mystical place that resides in your memories, carefully hidden away from “outsider” eyes, available only to the one whose memory vault is locked securely from those who didn’t share one or more of those “ancient reminiscences” with you, such as a parent, a sibling, or a childhood friend. Except for “bits and pieces”, one’s “Isle of Innisfree” can never be fully shared with one’s children, and seldom with one’s spouse. It can only be shared with one who “lived” it. If you don’t understand what I’m saying, then you aren’t old enough to have discovered your own “Isle of Innisfree”!

Warning: The Proposed Article V Constitutional Convention (Con-Con) May Be A Mega Con! Part 2
- By W.H. Lamb
- Category: W.H. Lamb
Last time we began an investigation into what is called a “Proposed Article V Constitutional Convention”, or a “CON-CON, also referred to as a “Convention of The States”. We examined the procedure that “Article V” of our 1787 Constitution specifies as to how our constitution is to be amended. We also looked at some “unwise” amendments ratified in the first quarter of the 20th century, and began to question the rationality of convening a NEW CON-CON, as well as the possible motives of the people and/or groups who are pushing hard for it—people who are attempting a “con-job”, first and foremost.

Warning: The Proposed Article V Constitutional Convention (Con-Con) May Be A Mega Con! - Part 1
- By W.H. Lamb

Let’s begin this investigation into this possible Mega “CON JOB” by reading what our present U.S. Constitution says in Article Five (V) about “amending” it:
“ARTICLE V: The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislators of two-thirds of the several states, shall call a Convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislators of three-fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three-fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by Congress;…”

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, W. H. (Bill) Lamb is a graduate of Cleveland State University (Ohio); being graduated in 1960, he moved to South Carolina in 1964. For many years he was an Industrial engineer, Chief Industrial engineer, and plant manager in the steel, electronics, and apparel industries in Ohio, South Carolina, and Alabama. In his younger days, he was an avid hiker in the Southern mountains, a target shooter, and is still an avid student of both American history and ancient Egyptian history.
He is an avid and long-time writer, concentrating on political and cultural issues of concern to America's Christian Patriot community. He was published in the Lancaster, S.C. "News" during the mid-to-late 1960's, and has been a Local Columnist published in the Greenville, SC The Times Examiner since 1999. The late and great Christian Patriot, Col. Bobby Dill, was his first Editor. During those years he has had several hundred articles published in The Times Examiner, which he always refers to as "a great journal of truth"!
He has had one book published, a 120-page novel set in our future, titled "The History of Our Future", and two unpublished 750-page sequels "Waiting in the Wings" to be published "someday". Bill has been married to Barbara for 65 years, has two adult (and aging) kids, five grandkids, six great-grandkids, and a "feisty and opinionated" 80 lb. Pit Lab named Hayley, who admittedly runs the entire house.
A very long-time member, with Barbara, of The patriotic John Birch Society, he believes that it is the duty of ALL Christians to also be dedicated patriots and do everything possible to both resist the evil of collectivism that is smothering Western Civilization and to do his best to educate and motivate his fellow Americans in the preservation of our unique Constitutional Republic, and most importantly, to share the love of his Savior with others.
