INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

A science popularizer is someone who seeks to explain scientific concepts in a manner that can be understood by anyone, particularly non-scientists. While, in principle, this can include many people online, those who are generally included in such lists usually have advanced degrees in science. Within popular culture, the most well-known include the late Carl Sagan, Bill Nye, and Neil deGrasse Tyson.

There are several things that all three of them have in common. They are all not only evolutionists but atheists as well. (Carl Sagan knows better now, being deceased) This means that when dealing with topics such as origins or the fundamental nature of reality, they are going to be presenting an entirely naturalistic, materialistic, and atheistic perspective on everything they say.

Very often in the effort to simplify the idea they are presenting actually results in misrepresentation. For example, watching some of these programs, you will get the impression that abiogenesis is just a matter of getting the right conditions and proof life magically life appears. The problem is that these science popularizers will include real science, such as demonstrating gravity and the like, but then they will present aspects of the Big Bang to man's evolutionary story as if it were no different. The big difference is that you can directly demonstrate gravity, but that is impossible with universal common descent evolution and its related theories. This distinction is usually not even remotely hinted at.

These science popularizers are usually acceptable when dealing with phenomena that can actually be observed in the present, but once they get into the historical sciences, their atheistic naturalistic materialistic worldview becomes clearly evident. It is at this point that they are no longer discussing real science when discussing the Big Bang to man evolutionary story but rather doing nothing more than pushing atheistic mythology in the days of science.
