Projection means blaming others for behavior you engage in, it’s an attempt to hide your own conduct behind a smoke screen of distraction. For example, after two years of digging by a team of Hillary diehards, Bob Mueller has not found one iota of proof that Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with the Russians to steal the election of 2016. To the contrary, what has been unmasked is that Hillary’s campaign did collude with the Russians, which is why the whole fabricated assertion was made in the first place. That is how projection works, blame the other guy for what you have done. Remember the explicit harvesting of millions from Russian interests for Bill Clinton to make a single speech and get paid $500K dollars for doing so. That little scheme also involved Hillary as Sec. of State approving the sale of 20% of our country’s uranium to Russia; about as close to treason as one can get. Does Bill Clinton get a half million dollars for a forty minutes speech if Hillary doesn’t agree to sell uranium…make your own judgement.
Then there is the infamous dossier, which spawned the whole Mueller investigation. That it was paid for by Hillary’s campaign and its veracity is still unverified by any of our collective or individual national security agencies, tells you just how much collusion was going on between Hillary and Russia. Remember, it was Hillary who made a perfect fool of herself by giving the Russian Ambassador a ‘Re-set’ button that incorrectly spelled the word wrong in Russian.
Hillary was, of course, a member of Team Obama. It was President Barack Obama who was caught on a live microphone telling the Russian President that after the 2012 election he “would have more flexibility;” to which the Russian said he would be sure to let Vladimir Putin know.
Lest we forget, Putin annexed Crimea on Obama’s watch, because he knew that Obama would not do anything in response. That was what Obama meant by having more flexibility after his last election, he would not have to answer for his feckless foreign policy…carried out by his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
But in spite of such a track record, Democrats try to sell the idea that President Trump is the one who is soft on Russia and colluded to steal the election. Frankly, Democrats have proven they are shameless when it comes to their hypocrisy. Whatever they are blaming President Trump for this week, you know its projection at work.
For instance, separating children from their families at the border, it must be Trump’s idea. The fact is that such policies were started by the Obama administration. So bad was the situation during Obama’s tenure that hundreds of children were turned over to human traffickers and pedophiles…so they must hide the facts and blame Trump for their own actions. Such is the standard operating procedure of Democrats.
Another familiar tactic the Democrats use is to adhere to Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals.” Rule 5 is, “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule.” So Democrats and their media and entertainment industry allies engage in a constant stream of invective toward not just President Trump, but his entire family as well. Obama’s daughters were always said to be off limits, Trump’s son Barron not so much. Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband are the subjects of campaigns aimed at questioning their business practices and negatively affecting their income. His sons, Don, Jr. and Eric are verbally assaulted on a daily basis.
The President has been subjected to absurd Time magazine covers which are always over the top. Saturday Night Live or Jimmy Kimmel think making crude and vulgar remarks about President Trump is fair play. Ridicule is a potent tactic, even if it does say more about others than it does the POTUS.
Perhaps the worst example of Democrats hypocrisy are their attempts to ridicule the First Lady, Melania Trump. America has not had such a gracious and beautiful First Lady since Jackie Kennedy. Only Democrats would think Melania’s ability to speak five languages would mean her accent should be the object of ridicule.
Next time you hear another attempt to discredit President Trump, take a minute to identify which tactic they are employing. Democrats have no credibility, and are merely a laughing stock. It is clear they refuse to accept the results of the 2016 election, and are simply irritants whose tactics will not succeed.
