Christmas Time at VVA

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 523 held their December meeting (The Christmas gathering) at the Greenville, SC Shrine Club. VVA meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month.
Associate of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 523 awarded Barry Strohl an award for his support, dedication and hard work to the VVA Golf Tournament.

Young Tour Guide

Kei'an Czarnecki, 11 years old give visitors a tour of the Cecil D. Buchanan Museum of Military History at American Legion Post 214 on 3110 Wade Hampton Blvd. Museum winter schedule is Saturday from 10 a.m to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1 - 4 p.m. Admission is FREE.

Quilts of Valor Awarded to Veterans

Fourteen veterans were awarded a Quilt of Valor at the Kroc Center for their service to their country. The Quilts of Valoris the highest award given to a civilian. Those awarded were Barry Armstrong, Kenneth Cannon, Frank "Chuck" Drake, Robert Eller, Ronald Fones, Fred Hamilton, Kevin Hammond, Heath Kesler, Robert M. Lloyd, John LoGiudice, Dennis Mitchell, Thomas Stanceil, Joseph Jackson "Jack" Thacker, Jr. and John Warner.
