The Federal Government’s Poor Treatment of the National Guard Must Be Investigated!

If you ever needed proof that our federal government is terrible at coordinating a response to crisis situations, the evidence lies in how they are currently treating the National Guard. After the Capitol riot, thousands of National Guard troops were sent to Washington, D.C. to protect federal buildings during the Inaugural events. Immediately upon arrival, Guardsmen were given nowhere to rest. They were forced to sleep on the floor of the Capitol Visitor’s Center after 12-hour shifts. After lawmakers decried this situation, many were given cots and other accommodations.

The table hosts were also informing table visitors about Cecil D. Buchanan Museum of Military History. The museum is located at the headquarters of Post 214 on 3110 Wade Hampton Blvd. in Taylors, SC. Winter hours are Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1:30-4 p.m. Admission free. The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 523 held their December meeting (The Christmas gathering) at the Greenville, SC Shrine Club. VVA meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month.
Associate of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 523 awarded Barry Strohl an award for his support, dedication and hard work to the VVA Golf Tournament.
