Scott Pushes Unspent Covid Funds for School Choice Options
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
More than a year after the federal government’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus-relief plan became law, South Carolina’s public school districts have spent relatively little of their share of the money, state records show.
U.S. Sen. Tim Scott believes lower-income parents nationwide should be able to use the unspent federal education dollars to help their children recover from learning losses resulting from the pandemic. That would include covering tuition at private schools under his bill introduced last week.
“States and school districts have only spent a fraction of the education funds they received through the Democrats’ American Rescue Plan – leaving kids helpless as they struggle to recover from academic setbacks,” the South Carolina Republican said in a prepared statement. “It’s clear that big-government bailouts won’t solve our education crisis.”

Public School Bureaucrats Want to Choose Your Child's Religion
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
The Supreme Court ruled on June 21 that state education budgets can’t discriminate against Christian schools — but the most significant aspect of the case came more than six months earlier. In a revealing exchange during the oral arguments of Carson v. Makin last December 8, an attorney for the state of Maine essentially confessed that the government wants to discriminate based on religion, because politicians have “values they want to instill” in public schoolchildren. Multiple Supreme Court justices then explained precisely how they wish to discriminate against traditional Christian and religious believers.

Earn It Act Protects Children from Internet Pedophiles
- By Eagle Forum
With the explosion of internet technology over the last few decades, Congress has been unable to keep up. While the world wide web has given us connected us to many good experiences, the access of online predators continues to multiply. It’s not unusual to watch a new documentary on catfishing or revenge porn. However, little is being done by big tech to protect victims, especially minors, from being exploited.

18-Year-Old Twin Co-Authors Release Christian Book for Tweens, 'Fight or Flight: Double O'Two Mysteries,' Clean Read, No Hidden Agendas
- By Double Blessing
WASHINGTON -- Authors Double Blessing, otherwise known as Ja'Naya and Jay'Den-Alexis, are Christian; twin sisters who want to give tweens a healthy place to go for a family-friendly read. In "Fight or Flight: Double O'Two Mysteries" (published by WestBow Press), they share an engaging mystery that will take tweens through a comical adventure.
"We were inspired to write this book during the pandemic. Our goal was to make people laugh and share scripture," Ja'Naya says. "Finding wholesome books to read is difficult in our generation. During our school years, our mom closely monitored what we read. We were disappointed in the use of inappropriate messages and language infiltrating our generation through books. We're hoping to encourage parents to support a book they can trust; that is clean, with no hidden agendas. We just want kids to be kids."

FBI's Trump Raid is 'Overreach, Politicization, and Weaponization' of the 'Police State'
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
The Justice Department must turn over all documentation used to justify a raid on President Donald Trump’s Florida home or stand presumed guilty of a vicious double standard that victimized conservatives, multiple experts — including a U.S. congressman — told The Washington Stand.
Trump announced that roughly 30 FBI agents swarmed Mar-a-Lago on Monday from approximately 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., combing through his safe and former First Lady Melania Trump’s wardrobe in the first federal law enforcement raid of a former president’s property in U.S. history. Agents left the property with around a dozen boxes, with law enforcement agents saying the raid had to do with a dispute over classified records they believed to be in Trump’s possession; they said it had nothing to do with the January 6 Commission. But many conservatives see this as a continuation of the Deep State’s political assault on the 45th president.
