SC Courts Appear to Be Growing Frustrated with Jeff Davis’s Lawfare
The South Carolina Court of Appeals has declined to dismiss or vacate a contempt order against Greenville County Republican Party Chairman Jeff Davis. This decision upholds a ruling that requires him to serve 90 days in jail or pay nearly $40,000 in attorney’s fees. It also marks the latest chapter in a years-long legal battle stemming from Davis’s defamation lawsuits against political consultant Chad Connelly and others.
Davis is known for using frivolous lawfare against his political opponents and for abusing the use of unnamed John Does across various counties in South Carolina. With one of those in 2020, he filed multiple libel lawsuits in Newberry County against Connelly and other figures connected to South Carolina’s Exceptional SC scholarship program. The suits claimed defamation and misconduct but were dismissed by the circuit court.
Norman Makes Gubernatorial Pitch at First Monday

“My vision for South Carolina is to get back to basics,” said 5th District Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Ralph Norman recently at First Monday, a Republican club in Greenville.
Norman, who announced his bid for governor in July, will be vying against several other GOP contenders for the state's highest office – ist District Congresswoman Nancy Mace, Attorney General Alan Wilson, Lieutenant Governor Pam Evette and State Senator Josh Kimbrell.
One of those basics is infrastructure. “We're going to put a priority on roads,” said Norman. He said that the state leads the nation in fatalities on secondary roads. He also mentioned the large number of unsafe bridges.

Former President Joe Biden’s Afghan refugee screening process was blasted in 2022 by a devastating report by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Inspector General (IG) for lacking such basic information as a list of individuals who lacked “sufficient identification documents” and warned as a result of individuals being admitted into the country “who pose a risk to national security and to the safety of local communities.”
The report provides important context for officials and members of Congress as they assess and respond to the November 26 terrorist attack on the streets of the capital that killed one West Virginia National Guardsman and critically injured a second one.

Democrats do not want you to know how much Obamacare really costs. From the time the program was created, they have masked its real costs with government subsidies. When the original supports were no longer enough to hide the high price tag, additional subsidies were added during the COVID-19 pandemic. These were intended to provide “temporary relief” and were set to expire at the end of the year. But the Left does not want them to end because then all Americans will know that Obamacare was a scam. This is why they shut down the government in October. After being unsuccessful by way of the shutdown, they are now forcing a vote to extend the subsidies in the U.S. House of Representatives. These funds do not go to individuals, but to insurance companies and can be used for abortion and transgender mutilation services.
