The 16 Most Extreme and Exotic Moments of the 2024 Democratic National Convention
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
The 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) has closed but, like its candidate’s views on the issues, much has not been reported. Here are 16 of the most significant events not covered by the legacy media.
1. Planned Parenthood Carried Out Eight Abortions and Nine Vasectomies at the 2024 DNC
Like official statistics about the jobs created by the Biden-Harris administration, the number of abortions and vasectomies carried out during the 2024 Democratic National Convention has been revised downward.
Pro-life sources on the ground reported that Planned Parenthood carried out 25 abortions in a mobile unit near Chicago’s United Center during the first two days of the DNC, which nominated Kamala Harris for president and Tim Walz for vice president. Thankfully, abortion officials have subsequently clarified that they dispensed the abortion pill mifepristone to fewer than half that many mothers.

Empty Joy in Chicago
If you happened to watch the Democratic National Convention last week with the volume off, you might have thought you were witnessing a GOP gathering. American flags were everywhere. Many convention delegates were decked out in red, white, and blue, waving signs that read “USA.” “FREEDOM” was projected in huge letters on the stage. Protesters with signs calling to “Free Palestine” were conveniently kept outside the United Center and cameras inside avoided anyone who looked like they were dressed for the 2023 White House Pride Day event. Even a New York Times headline declared, “Democrats Show that Republicans Aren’t the Only Ones Who Can Wrap Themselves in the Flag.”
Kamala Harris Promises to Impose Abortion on All 50 States as President
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Kamala Harris promised to use the federal government to expand abortion nationwide, because Americans cannot “truly be prosperous” without abortion, and pro-life Americans are “out of their minds,” said Harris while accepting the Democratic presidential nomination Thursday night.
Harris basked in the glow of the audience as she stood at the podium of the United Center in Chicago to deliver an acceptance speech long on personal history but slight on policy specifics, aside from a vow to extend the abortion industry into all 50 states, irrespective of each state’s individual laws.
Michelle Obama Endorses Porn in Schools and Transing Kids on DNC Day 2
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Former First Lady Michelle Obama celebrated “children” identifying as transgender, vilified concerned parents’ efforts to remove pornographic books from children’s sections of school libraries, and embraced life-destroying fertility methods during the most celebrated speech of the Democratic National Convention to date Tuesday night. Her husband, former president Barack Obama, promised a Harris-Walz administration would sign a bill extending abortion to all 50 states. Kamala Harris made a virtual appearance to accept the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.
Here are the most notable events of the second day of the Democratic National Convention.

The 6 Most Notable Moments from Day 1 of the DNC

- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
The Democratic Party opened its 2024 national convention in Chicago’s United Center on Monday, adopting its platform, setting its agenda, and hearing the first day of speeches from Hillary Clinton, abortion activists, and President Joe Biden. The first day of the DNC featured a prayer without Christ, politicians citing Bible verses moments after promoting abortion-on-demand, and insisting pro-life protections violate “basic decency.”
Here are a few of the most memorable events of day one:
5 (More) Facts about ‘Evangelicals for Harris’
- Details
- By Joshua Arnold - The Washington Stand
A little-known group called “Evangelicals for Harris” hosted a virtual rally over Zoom on Wednesday. The organization made headlines simply for its surprising title; in 2016 and 2020, evangelicals voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump. A progressive newspaper said the organization “has sought to offer a counter narrative” by showing Vice President Kamala Harris, the democratic presidential nominee, gaining momentum among evangelicals. But a deeper dive into the organization suggests that not much has changed.
1. Evangelicals for Harris was created by pop-up nonprofit and is linked to Evangelicals for Biden.
“Evangelicals for Harris is a project of Faith Voters, a 501(c)4 organization,” according to their website. The IRS approved Faith Voters for Good as a tax-exempt 501(c)4 organization on January 18 of this year.
CBS Accidentally Admits that Harris Thinks Medical Care for Infants Born Alive after Abortion Is ‘Extreme’

- By Mary Szoch - The Washington Stand
On Sunday, vice presidential nominee and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance (R) joined Margaret Brennan on CBS’s “Face the Nation” for an interview. Predictably, the conversation started with six questions in a row on abortion. While answering those questions, Vance spoke of the contrast between former President Donald Trump’s views on abortion and the view of the Democratic Party. He said, “You have Democrats who have supported abortion right up to the moment of birth — and even beyond the moment — of birth, which is just sick stuff. And I think it’s such a contrast…”
Who Doesn’t Like Pregnancy Resource Centers? Kamala Harris
- Details
- By Mary Szoch & Arielle Del Turco - The Washington Stand
Across the country, there are more than 2,750 centers of hope for women and men who unexpectedly learn they have conceived a child. They are called pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) or Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs). These organizations have an approval rate higher than 97.4% from the mothers and fathers they serve. Their work saves lives and drives out fear.
How? PRCs provide unwavering support for moms and dads in need. Everyone who walks through their door is met with an open heart, a listening ear, and a plethora of resources — clothing, diapers, wipes, formula; education about pregnancy, parenting, and life skills; and medical services like pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and STD testing. Many PRCs also offer housing for mothers and their children, spiritual support, clothing, assistance for victims of abuse and human trafficking, and guidance in applying for Medicaid, SNAPS, and WIC.
Kamala Harris ‘One of the Most Catastrophic Failures in American History’: Congressman
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Efforts by Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris to back away from her role in America’s open border crisis have failed, as congressional inquiries have demanded she produce documents showing “what, if any” steps she took to stop the flow of illegal immigrants, drugs, and cartels into the U.S. heartland.
The House Oversight and Accountability Committee launched an investigation Tuesday into “Vice President Harris’s role in effectuating the worst border crisis in American history.” A letter to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner Troy Miller calls for all documents and communications between U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Executive Office of the Vice President related to the southwest border or illegal immigration from the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration. DHS has until August 20 to comply. In a separate inquiry, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has requested that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas turn over all communications between March 2021 and March 2022 referring to Kamala Harrs with the term a “czar” or “lead” overseeing “border,” “migration,” or “immigration” by August 30.
Gov. Tim Walz Raised Taxes as Most Governors Cut Them
- Details
- By Jared Walczak - Tax Foundation
Most states have cut taxes at least once since 2021, with a renewed emphasis on tax competition taking hold in red and blue states alike. Twenty-eight states have cut individual income tax rates, fifteen states have cut corporate income tax rates, and other states have cut sales tax rates or focused on property tax relief. Under Gov. Tim Walz (DFL), Minnesota has been an outlier, one of the few states to raise taxes in recent years—despite the state posting large surpluses.
With her selection of Minnesota Gov. Walz as her running mate, Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen from a pool of prospective candidates—sitting governors—that seems obvious but has not historically been well-represented in the second slot on presidential tickets. Former President Donald Trump’s selection of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and Sen. John McCain’s choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin may suggest that governors are gaining ground as vice presidential nominees, but before that, stretching back a century, the only others are Spiro T. Agnew, Earl Warren, and John W. Bricker.
Biden Dodges Explaining Decision to Drop Out in Address
- Details
- By S.A. McCarthy - The Washington Stand
President Joe Biden spoke Wednesday night about his decision to drop out of the presidential race in his first public appearance since the decision was made. In a video address of just over 11 minutes, Biden spoke from behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, after having spent nearly a week sequestered in his Delaware home, reportedly recovering from COVID-19. “I revere this office, but I love my country more,” the president remarked. “It’s been the honor of my life to serve as your president,” he added, claiming that “the defense of democracy” is “at stake and is more important than any title.”

In a Startling Conflict of Interest, Harris Attacked Investigators Who Exposed Aborted Baby Parts Harvesting Scheme
WICHITA, Kan. -- President Joe Biden has finally dropped out as a candidate for the 2024 presidential race. Though he has fully endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat nominee, it is not known whether she will actually appear on the November ballot.
"What we do know is that Harris has failed miserably in her role as vice president," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, "especially in her primary duty as border czar."

Secret Service's Corrupt Culture
- Details
- By Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights
What happened in Butler, Pennsylvania is emblematic of our culture of comfortableness. We are a nation that lacks accountability for misconduct and incompetence, the net result of which is a growing pattern of serious social problems. It is institutionally ubiquitous.
From "soft on crime" initiatives to nearly non-existent student disciplinary measures—to weak performance standards in the workplace and on the ball field—offenders and slackers have been treated with impunity. It is this culture that accounts for the failure of the Secret Service to protect former president Donald Trump. Here are a few examples.
Who Is J.D. Vance? Ohio Senator Tapped as Trump VP Candidate
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Former President Donald Trump announced Monday that he had selected Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his vice presidential running mate, touching off rounds of praise and occasional statements of condemnation from the pro-life community.
Vance, who is presently serving his first term in the U.S. Senate, mirrors President Trump’s views on immigration and the importance of elevating the American middle class. The two men made a surprise appearance at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, shortly after delegates nominated the ticket.
Vance memorialized his underprivileged upbringing and chaotic family life in his 2016 memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis,” which was made into a well-received movie directed by Ron Howard in 2020. After joining the Marines, Vance graduated from Yale Law School and worked at Peter Thiel’s venture capital firm before starting his own, where he raised more than $90 million. He has become a critic of Wall Street, called for higher corporate taxes, and supported raising the minimum wage.
