President Donald Trump has predicted that his tariffs could raise as much as $6 trillion over the next decade in federal tax collections. These include up to 104% tariffs on China, plus the combination of reciprocal tariffs -- we charge them whatever they charge us. Also, don't forget the protectionist tariffs on steel, aluminum, autos, lumber, etc.
The tariff rates put on the table by Trump are higher than those at any other time in the last century, so it is no wonder we've seen a painful stock selloff, reducing asset values by well over $7 trillion.
But what the markets are missing is that Trump has also announced that money raised from the tariffs will be offset by other tax cuts. If that is the case, then the net impact of the tariffs could end up being a positive for the economy.

A month ago, on March 4, I published an article in the Times Examiner, entitled, “Cautionary Tales of American Tariff History.” This was in response to President Trump’s announced use of tariffs to negotiate corrections to unfair and abusive trade practices that have been foisted on the American government, economy, and our people for decades by dozens of our trading partners, some of which we consider potential enemies, but many of which have been otherwise strong military and political allies. I agree that it is a priority to correct these problems and with Trump that temporary imposition of reciprocal (or retaliatory) tariffs might be useful in negotiating fair and balanced trade. I have also always strongly agreed that critical defense industries must be protected. We do not want to be dependent on imports for national defense. Trump is also correct that a great nation must be a nation with a strong manufacturing sector that makes things rather than just shuffling financial paper.

On behalf of the Greenville Spinners Bicycle Club board, we are writing to express our deep concern regarding the proposed Inn at Altamont development on Paris Mountain. While there are many valid concerns about this proposal, our focus in this letter is on the safety of cyclists and all road users.
Currently, Altamont Road experiences an annual average daily traffic (AADT) count of 950 as recorded by SCDOT. Since this figure does not include cyclists, we analyzed data from Strava Metro, which reveals an average of 65 daily cycling trips near the proposed development site on Altamont Road (totaling 23,720 cycling trips in 2024). This number represents a significant portion of the road's users and is likely an undercount, as not all cyclists utilize GPS tracking apps like Strava. We believe it is crucial that the considerable presence of cyclists on Altamont Road, likely omitted from the developer’s traffic studies for this proposal, is fully considered during your review.

“When I awoke it was daylight, and I found myself in the small cottage that belonged to Han and Mila Tempal, two of our Jesus Sect members. Their cottage was far into the forest and away from the normal foot traffic, but they had been searching for any fellow Jesus Sect members who had managed to escape the carnage, admitting to me that they had been too afraid to come to the church service the previous night. They had been doing what they could to tend to my wounds. Fortunately, Mila was one of those who helped birth the babies of our women, and she had a fair amount of medical skills and some basic medicines for treating wounds. She already had my shoulder and leg bandaged, but told me she didn’t have the skill to do much for the stab wound in my back, which fortunately had not punctured my lung. She had managed to stop the bleeding and had put what medicine she had into the wound, and was bandaging it just as I regained consciousness. I thanked her for her help, then told them about the carnage I had witnessed. They already knew all about it, however, and the three of us wept for my family that had been killed, and also for all of our friends whom we would never see again in this life.

Can Science Prove Intelligent Design in Nature?

There are three ways that the concept of intelligent design in nature comes across in science. The first is the general design of the universe, the second is design within living things, and the final one is design as a requirement for the origin of life. All three of these are a critical part of the issue when it comes to whether or not science can prove intelligent design in nature.
One of the ways of suggesting intelligent design in nature in terms of the general design of the universe is the fine-tuned nature of the universe itself. Now, while some of the factors originally placed under fine-tuning may have broader ranges than originally suspected, many aspects of the universe still require some degree of fine-tuning in order to have a universe capable of supporting life. However, the primary way in which the universe as a whole gives evidence of being intelligently designed is on the subatomic scale, where the properties of particles do not have definite values but exist as waves of probability until observed; only then do these properties obtain actual specific values. Furthermore, the behavior of particles can change based on what we know about them, for example the quantum erasure double slit experiment has shown that whether or not particles behave as particles or waves depends upon whether or not we know if they went through a particular slit or not.
Congress Should Lower Taxes for Everyone

Over Tipping
“No taxes on tips!” was the rallying cry and campaign promise that many believe enabled Donald Trump to win Nevada in 2024. It was so popular that his opponent Kamala Harris copied the pledge. Senators and congressmen are now rushing the bandwagon to enact “no taxes on tips.”
The devil is in the details of this idea. If one select group of wage-earners can legally avoid taxes, then everyone will want to join that group. Already, restaurants have realized the inherent unfairness that the front-of-the-house employees would avoid taxes, but not the back-of-the-house employees. Tipping is usually for the public-facing service providers, such as waiters, but the invisible dishwashers and janitors whose wages are not considered “tips” would not be able to access this new tax-free benefit.

At dawn on Saturday, October 7, 2023, Israeli time, according to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), more than 2,200 modern rockets were launched from the Palestinian Gaza strip along the Mediterranean Sea targeting civilian and military targets in Israel. This was followed by over 2,500 Hamas infantry infiltrating into nearby civilian areas and slaughtering men, women, and children on the streets, at public events, and in their homes. They also took an estimated 251 hostages. Eight hostages are known to have died during Hamas captivity. Approximately 219 were released by stages in a cease-fire prisoner exchange, and 24 known hostages are still to be released. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency, however, believes Hamas is still holding 35 dead hostages, which would make the hostage total 286 to begin with.

“Pastor Lee stopped beside one of the old fireplaces—the one on the left as the room was entered, and explained that soon after he had come to Andria with his family in 2372 he had shown Pastor Torash these objects. Both of these men had then worked on installing a secret hiding compartment next to this fireplace, so these objects could be preserved into the future. He counted down exactly 16 bricks from the top inside brick on the left side of the fireplace. Next to very old wood paneling that had been on the walls longer than anyone knew, Lee used his battle knife to pry away that brick from the others, revealing a small metal ring, which he pulled. Suddenly a part of the wood paneling snapped open, revealing a compartment about 6 feet high and 3 feet wide. Inside were the objects that Lee wanted us to see.

Elon Musk revealed yesterday that the Biden administration permitted millions of illegal aliens to register for Social Security and other government programs.
The head of the Department of Government Efficiency, along with DOGEr Antonio Gracias, CEO of Valor Equity Partners, revealed that the number of illegals on Social Security grew some 678 percent from under 300,000 to more than 2 million from 2021 to 2024. Worse still, many of the illegals unlawfully voted.
That suggests, as Musk said, that the Biden administration purposely imported them to disenfranchise Americans. Once the illegals became voters, they would vote for Democrats, who would, in turn, set up a totalitarian far-left regime from which there would be “no escape.”

In the virgin wilderness of America, the God of Creation was making His most significant attempt since ancient Israel to create a new Israel of people living in obedience to the laws of God, through faith in Jesus Christ. At first glance this statement is either the height of spiritual self-righteousness or it is the truth. A new Jerusalem, a model of the Kingdom of Christ upon earth - we Americans were intended to be a living proof to the rest of the world that it was possible to live a life together which reflected the two Great Commandments and put God and others ahead of self.

Nearly every day, we read yet another story about how public schools are indoctrinating our children with Marxist ideology. Among other examples, schools are promoting sexually explicit content to students, mandating “LGBT” and indoctrination, teaching Marxist critical race theory and promoting “Black Lives Matter,” turning students against Christianity while promoting Islam, using Common Core, and promoting the vaccines and injecting them into children without parental consent. Much of this indoctrination is occurring even in “red” states, and many school districts are screening teacher candidates for leftist values.

Free, fair, and honest elections unmarred by fraud, errors, or suspicion are fundamental to maintaining our constitutional Republic. The right of American citizens to have their votes properly counted and tabulated, without illegal dilution, is vital to determining the rightful winner of an election.
Current law already prohibits foreign nationals from registering and voting in Federal elections. Despite this fact, individuals are not required to show proof of citizenship to register or to vote. President Trump wants to make it easier for states to be able to verify voters but there is only so much the Executive Branch can do.
General On Thursday, April 3rd, Simmer’s SC Senate Hearing Continues!

Simmer ended his testimony stating that DPH needs to rebuild trust through “listening” to South Carolinians. Amnesty Urges Hungary To Arrest Israel’s Netanyahu During Visit

JERUSALEM/BUDAPEST (Worthy News) – Human rights group Amnesty International urged Hungary on Monday to “hand over” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the International Criminal Court (ICC) after officials confirmed that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will host him later this week.
Netanyahu will fly to Budapest on Wednesday, April 2, and return to Israel on Sunday, April 6, his office confirmed, despite the lCC’s arrest warrant against him.
The trip is controversial as in November 2024, the ICC issued arrest warrants against Prime Minister Netanyahu, former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and al-Qassam brigades commander Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri on charges of “war crimes and crimes against humanity.”
