NGU To Open Tigerville and Greer Campuses for Fall 2020

North Greenville University confirmed today that it will open its Tigerville and Greer campuses for in-person instruction beginning on August 20, 2020.
“We are excited to welcome students back to campus for the fall semester,” said NGU President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr. “We will overcome these challenging days together as the North Greenville family. Every necessary precaution will be put in place to ensure the safest educational experience is available to the students we serve.”

Bob Jones University Adjusts Fall Schedule

Bob Jones University President Steve Pettit announced today that BJU is adjusting its fall schedule to finish first semester prior to Thanksgiving.
In a video announcement sent to students, parents, faculty and staff, Pettit announced classes will begin Tuesday, Aug. 18 and that final exams would end on Tuesday, Nov. 24. To accomplish this, BJU will not observe Labor Day or have a fall break this year.

A California PTA Chapter Contracts with Planned Parenthood to Teach Kids Sex Ed in Elementary School

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Capitol Resource Institute has discovered that a Sacramento-area Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has contracted with Planned Parenthood to teach sexual education to elementary school students.
The local PTA chapter hides their payments to Planned Parenthood by listing the classes-- called "puberty talks" -- under "assemblies" in their annual budget. These assemblies have taken place during the last two school years and are planned for the 2020-21 school year as well.

ACSI Releases Findings from Nationwide Survey of Christian Schools' Responses to COVID-19

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Association of Christian Schools International is pleased to announce the release of data from a nationwide survey of Christian schools' responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly 800 Christian schools representing diverse geographic locations and school sizes responded to the survey, which was conducted in late April.

Bob Jones Academy Holds Graduation

In place of a traditional graduation ceremony, Bob Jones Academy held a drive-thru graduation Thursday, May 14, from 2 - 4 p.m. in front of the main Academy building. The unique sendoff was livestreamed on the school’s Facebook page.

Bob Jones University To Open For In-Person Fall Classes

Bob Jones University President Steve Pettit announced today that BJU will open for in-person classes in late August.
New students will arrive for residence hall move-in and orientation on Friday, August 21. Classes begin Wednesday, August 26.

NGU Honors Local Students for Excellence

North Greenville University’s 2020 Awards Day Chapel service planned for Monday, April 13, was canceled due to the observance of COVID-19 guidelines. The annual recognition honors students, faculty, and staff for excellence.
“We are blessed with some truly wonderful students at North Greenville. I couldn’t be prouder of these men and women for their accomplishments. They have worked hard in the classroom and lived well outside the classroom,” said NGU Provost and Dean of the University Faculty Dr. Nathan A. Finn. “While I regret we could not recognize them in person at our annual Awards Day Chapel, I appreciate how kindly they have responded in recent days as we’ve reached out to them to tell them about these rewards. I know these men and women will continue to represent NGU well for many years to come.”
