Hillary Finally Gets Confronted

Donald Trump nailed the queen, in public and to her face. At the second debate held on Oct. 9th Donald Trump did what we have been waiting for, for 30 years to happen, he confronted Hillary Clinton about her illegal and shameless behavior. Bravo, Mr. Trump…well done.
Hillary Clinton has been allowed to get away with all sorts of conduct that would have put anybody else in prison. The most recent example of such was her using a private email server for official business while she was Secretary of State, and destroying thousands of emails which are public property. That the FBI/DOJ allowed this to happen and chose not to indict her is proof of how Obama has made the government into a completely political institution. Obama has destroyed the rule of law, but the fact is, he has been allowed to do that by a compliant Congress. Progressivism is a disease and most of those currently involved in government have been infected by it.

A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit - Part 1
As I began to write this article on Friday evening, October 7, ABC News anchor, David Muir, excitedly introduced the evening news that Donald Trump had made some crude remarks in an all male locker room situation 11 years ago. Trump tweeted that he had played golf with Bill Clinton and had heard a lot worse than that. But later, Trump made a sincere apology for the impropriety of his past remarks. I was not pleased to hear his locker room language of more than a decade ago, but I am not willing to sacrifice my country by focusing on issues of comparatively trivial future consequences. Proverbs 28:13 (ESV) provides timeless wisdom: “Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find mercy.”
The other major point of political news was that the Democratic National Committee believed the Russians might interfere with the November 8 election. I am not too worried about the Russians actually trying to interfere with our elections. Being a realist and a former Republican County Chairman in both Alabama and North Carolina, I believe there is a much greater chance that the Democrats will attempt to elect Hillary Clinton President by sweeping voter fraud, including the use of illegal immigrant voters. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like, but I fear that Barack Obama might even try to nullify a potential Trump victory by halting the election and blaming it on the Russians. Muir and ABC covered Hurricane Matthew a bit and went on to the usual relentless hammering of Trump on every trivial issue imaginable, while protecting Hillary Clinton’s from any serious attack.
Official (Politically Correct) Islam versus the Truth

In the last two articles on the Foundations of Islam, I have pointed out that the violent coercion of Jihad is deeply embedded in its founding doctrinal texts: the Koran, the Hadiths, and the Sira. These are essentially the alleged revelations to Muhammad of Allah’s words in the Koran and of Muhammad’s words and example recorded by his closest companions in the Hadiths and Sira. Sharia Law is also based on this textual trilogy. The only way to judge the true nature of Islam is through the Koran and the words and example of its Prophet, Muhammad. It will not do to call Islam a religion of peace, when 9 percent of the Koran and 31 percent of Islam’s doctrinal trilogy is about Holy War on all non-Muslims, and Muhammad claims that he is called by Allah to make Islam the only religion and that all nations should be subject to Sharia Law. None of the Jihad spoken of in these doctrinal standards is a “spiritual struggle” of prayer and fasting, as is falsely claimed by Muslim Brotherhood propagandists. One of the most shocking incidents of Muhammad’s early leadership is the beheading of 800 Jewish prisoners of war in Medina, because they would not accept the Muslim faith. This ghastly massacre is taught approvingly by Muslim scholars and leaders. There are 328,000 words in the Islamic trilogy devoted to political violence, almost all against non-Muslims, whereas the Hebrew Bible has only 34,000, and the New Testament has almost none.

The Koran, Sira, and Hadiths - Part 1
Islam is a total worldview, and Islamic Law is a legal system encompassing every aspect of Muslim life—religion, politics, government, war, criminal and civil law, business, family, food, dress, social, culture, absolutely everything. Although criticism of Islam or Islamic Law can invoke the death penalty, there are many secularized or purely cultural Muslims who are not fully compliant with Islamic doctrines and Islamic laws. But according to a 2008 survey reported by Ingrid Carlqvist with Dispatch International (Sweden) in 2015, 66 percent of European Muslims want to be under Sharia Law rather than Europeans laws.

Fifteen Painful Years on the Wrong Course
In August 2001, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) published a report by Karen Kaufmann and James G. Gimpel, entitled “Republican Efforts to Attract Latino Voters: Impossible Dream or Distant Reality?” This study found that Hispanic voters in U.S. elections favored the Democrat Party by more than two-to-one because of long-standing traditional loyalties and strong Hispanic preferences for generous big government welfare and healthcare policies. Moreover, it showed little change in this Democrat Party preference with time in the U.S. or over generations. Nor did economic success substantially change the preference of higher income Hispanic households for the Democrat Party. This should have been sobering news for the G.W. Bush Administration, which continued to formulate its immigration policies based on anecdotal myths rather than statistical reality. The Bush policy of expanded legal immigration and negligible internal and workplace enforcement against illegal immigrants earned no Hispanic respect, resulted in a doubling of illegal immigration, hurt American workers and taxpayers, and accelerated the growth of a strong Democrat voting bloc that threatens eventual Democrat dominance in national elections. Pew Research found in 2013 that 69 percent of Hispanics favored Obamacare, and 71 percent voted for Obama.
Politics: The Opiate Of The Masses

Having survived my first POTUS primary election cycle in SC, let me share a few observations. “Take-aways” from anything are only useful if one identifies those worth remembering because they offer some valuable lessons.
Most stunning even for those of us who are unapologetic political junkies is that South Carolina really does go bonkers for a few weeks. I attended myriad events, including five political events in the last week, from the SC debates in Greenville through the last Rubio event in Clemson the night before the GOP primary…wow. It is wonderful to be able to do so, to participate in the democratic process up close and personal in a state where one’s vote actually matters.

Do great people make history or does history make great people? Is it the larger than life character that molds and shapes events that determines the course of human existence? Or, more often than not, do events place a common person in a time and circumstances that give rise to uncommon human behavior?
