A Trojan Horse Is Stalking Our Nation – Beware Of Pseudo-Conservatives Bearing “Constitutional” Panaceas – Part 4
- By W.H. Lamb
U.S. CONSTITUTION—ARTICLE V1—CLAUSE 2:
“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof, and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE UNITED STATES, shall be the supreme law of the Land, and the Judges in every State shall be BOUND THEREBY, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary, notwithstanding.” (Emphasis mine—whl).
There’s an old “tool” hidden in the above Clause 2 of Article V1—IT’S A POWERFUL TOOL CALLED NULLIFICATION! It doesn’t require another amendment to our constitution. It sure doesn’t require some long, drawn out, very controversial, and DANGEROUS, constitutional convention triggered by Article V and its gullible “Convention of States” crowd. The principle of “nullification” that our State lawmakers could---and must---use to enforce our constitution has always been there, incorporated in that document from the beginning by our very wise Framers.

Want to Further Economic Woes? Put in Price Controls
- By Veronique de Rugy
History has a way of repeating itself. Or maybe it's that people cling to defunct beliefs, stubbornly refusing to learn from experience. Such stubbornness is on display when pundits, legislators and President Joe Biden blame inflation on corporate "greed." The fix, they claim, is price controls. But such controls would only bring further economic calamity.
To explain hikes in the prices of meat, poultry and energy, many politicians and pundits say we must look no further than cold-hearted corporate CEOs padding their bottom lines at the expense of ordinary Americans. Companies today are allegedly so greedy that they use the pandemic as an excuse to charge extortionate prices. For example, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., told MSNBC's Chris Hayes that "giant corporations who say, wow, a lot of talk about high prices and inflation. This is a chance to get in there and not only pass along costs, but to inflate prices beyond that and just engage in a little straightforward price gouging."

Behind the Curtain of War in Ukraine
- By Mike Scruggs
Division in the Eastern Orthodox Church
There are approximately 260 million Orthodox Christians in the world, and the two largest nations where Orthodox Christianity predominates are Russia and Ukraine. The Eastern Orthodox Church in Constantinople (now Istanbul) broke away from the Roman Catholic Church in 1054, in what is usually termed “the Great Schism.” The chief dispute was over the authority of the Pope. After the fall of Constantinople in 1453 to Muslim armies of the Ottoman Empire, the main center of Orthodox Christianity became Moscow. There is no office equivalent to Pope in Orthodox Christianity, and national Orthodox churches have considerable autonomy.

A Trojan Horse Is Stalking Our Nation – Beware Of Pseudo-Conservatives Bearing “Constitutional” Panaceas! – Part 3
- By W.H. Lamb
The “Convention of States” proponents, headed by Mark Meckler, constantly reassure the doubters and the skeptics (of which I am one) that their COS would be strictly “limited to proposing amendments related to the listed topics”. In actuality, however, that is their usual “soothing syrup” spread over the gullible among their followers and the uneducated amongst the population, because any constitutional convention (and their COS IS a CON CON) could, and conceivably would, result in a RUNAWAY CONVENTION that could reverse or eliminate any number of our current constitution’s limitations on the power of the federal government (at least the way our Founders intended—not that the criminals and buffoons in Congress pay much attention to our constitution any more) and its interference in the lives of the American people. Sad to say, but a new CON CON/COS could actually accomplish the SAME goals that many of its advocates claim to be fighting against.

But, I Identify as Christian!
- By Ben Graydon
WHY SHOULD I LET YOU INTO MY HEAVEN?
Why? Come on, Lord! You KNOW why. Didn’t I walk down an aisle and recite a sinner’s prayer? Didn’t I get water baptized – all the way submerged! - and join the church? Didn’t I do everything that the preacher said to do?
Didn’t I graduate from a Christian school and then go to a Christian college? Didn’t I major in religious studies, and wasn’t I very religious? Didn’t I keep my hair cut short and not listen to rock music, including Contemporary Christian Music? Didn’t I marry a Christian girl in a Christian wedding in a Christian church?
Wasn’t I in church every time the doors were open, not just Christmas and Easter? Didn’t I put money in the offering plate every time it was passed? Didn’t I tithe over and above the 10%?

There's More for You in 2022
- By Alveda King
At the beginning of 2022, my pastor Theo McNair, Jr. preached a sermon entitled "There is More." The message encouraged me so much that I'd like to share a first quarter recap and perhaps help you prepare for what's to come.
In January 2022 we observed the annual March for Life, and the birthday of my uncle, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During this season, the Dobbs case, a controversial challenge to legal abortion in America was in full-fledged public debate. Lt. Governor Winsome Sears was sworn into office during this time.
The Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization is still a pending U.S. Supreme Court case dealing with the constitutionality of a 2018 Mississippi state law that banned abortion operations after the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.

No, School Boards Are Not 'Banning Books'
- By David Harsanyi
Accusations of left-wing free-speech authoritarianism -- whether through corporate restrictions, the state targeting "misinformation," the shouting down of dissent in universities or the canceling of dissenting voices -- are well-documented. Attempting to even the ledger, liberals have begun alleging that conservatives are engaging in "book bans" in public school districts.
The newest outrage on this front comes from a ProPublica investigation in which Superintendent Jeremy Glenn of Granbury Independent School District in North Texas is taped saying chilling things like: "I don't want a kid picking up a book, whether it's about homosexuality or heterosexuality, and reading about how to hook up sexually in our libraries." ("Minutes later," reports ProPublica, "after someone asked whether titles on racism were acceptable, Glenn said books on different cultures 'are great.'")
