PVS Summit: During Our Crisis of Leadership, Believers Must Lead
- By Family Research Council
It's not news to anyone paying attention that we have a crisis of leadership in America. Our leaders in Washington, starting from the Oval Office on down, have bungled almost everything they have touched since January, often shooting themselves in both feet -- multiple times -- while the American citizenry is stuck paying the medical bills. From the Afghanistan disaster, to the fiasco along our southern border, to the vaccine mandate debacle, to the threatening of parental rights at school board meetings, to the inconceivably massive increase in our national debt, it's more than clear that our leaders are not just failing, they are threatening to bring down the country with them.
On the final day of the Pray Vote Stand Summit, a recurring theme emerged during the morning session amongst the speakers and panelists: it's high time that people of faith step forward and take hold of the reins by fearlessly leading with the truth of God's word.

School Boards Want FBI Protection from Parents
- By Meg Kilgannon - Family Research Council
Any parent who has watched or testified before a school board meeting understands how challenging it is to be heard and how often the work of the board bears little resemblance to the will of the people. Even with sympathetic elected officers, engaging the educational industrial complex is hard work. And recent action by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is making the job even harder.
On October 4, 2021, the DOJ announced an effort to determine if "a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence" at school board meetings requires federal intervention by law enforcement. Citing no specific examples of such threats, Attorney General Merrick Garland explained:
Six-figure Clubs Growing at USC, Clemson
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
Last week, the Clemson University Board of Trustees gave president Jim Clements a five-year contract extension and an $86,200 raise through the university’s private fundraising arm, bringing his total annual salary to nearly $1 million, according to media reports.
About a third of his new salary – $318,781 – comes from the state of South Carolina. And Clements isn’t the only six-figure employee at Clemson and the University of South Carolina – the state’s two largest colleges.
The Nerve’s review of the state salary database, maintained by the S.C. Department of Administration (SCDOA), found that as of Sept. 1, a total of 2,102 USC and Clemson employees were making at least $100,000 yearly. That represented 48.5% of the 4,330 state workers in the database with salaries of at least $100,000.
The American People Are Rejecting a President Too Weak to Take On the Radicals in His Own Party
- By Neil Patel
President Joe Biden's poll numbers are tanking, especially among independent voters. The American people do not like weak leaders, and they do not like the craziness that's infiltrating their daily lives.
Biden campaigned as someone who could bring the country together. Since taking office, he's made no effort to do that. Instead, he has continually conceded to his party's far-left wing, which is growing crazier by the day. It's not clear if Biden is just too weak to take them on or if he is buying into their craziness, but either way, people are not happy. The Democrats are somehow making the Republicans seem appealing again to your average non-politically aligned voter. Given the current disarray in the Republican Party, this was a tall task. It's almost as if the two parties are competing to see who can turn off the middle more. This week, the Democrats are in the lead. Their policies are so crazy not even their allies in the dominant corporate media can succeed in selling them.
Are China's Threats to Taiwan a Bluff?
- By Pat Buchanan
Monday, four dozen Chinese military aircraft flew into Taiwan's air defense zone, climaxing a weekend of provocations that saw nearly 150 sorties of China-based fighters and bombers.
The U.S. State Department countered by issuing a stern statement warning Beijing about the adverse effect on regional "stability" of such "provocative military activity."
Yet even as the waves of Chinese military aircraft entered Taiwan's air defense zone, President Joe Biden was reassuring Japan's new Prime Minister Fumio Kishida that the U.S. would defend the Senkakus from any Chinese attack.
Our Elected Allies Try to Fight Biden’s Vaccine Mandate Agenda
- By Eagle Forum
From the average American to elite politicians and celebrities, people are speaking out against vaccine mandates. Some believe that getting the vaccine is the right choice for them while others question the science behind it or are concerned about the unknown effects it may have on their bodies. Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, every individual should be able to make the decision for themselves without the force of corrupt politicians.

Comply or Die: Vax-Partheid in the Operating Room
- By Michelle Malkin
For nearly 20 years, I've reported on America's medical welcome mat for chronically sick illegal aliens. Under a 1986 federal law, "unauthorized immigrants" with conditions such as kidney disease and cancer cannot be denied emergency room care, regardless of their immigration status or inability to pay. Open-borders politicians insist health care is a "right" that every last border-jumper is entitled to -- and that every last American taxpayer must subsidize.
The Truth Will Set Us Free from Vaccine Mandates
- By Joshua Arnold
In new footage released by Project Veritas, three Pfizer scientists admit that natural immunity to the coronavirus likely offers better protection than the vaccine. Yet the CDC refuses to even address the possibility of natural immunity, and various vaccine mandates America's tyrants are considering allow no exemption for natural immunity.
Natural immunity is not some magic code, nor does it suggest genetic superiority. The term simply refers to someone who has contracted COVID-19, and whose immune system developed the tools to successfully fight off the virus. Those immune defenses remain in the person's bloodstream even after the virus has been eliminated. After 18 months of data, the administration's utter silence on natural immunity, an obvious, viable alternative to vaccination, has grown deafening.
An Agenda for World Domination – Or Am I Just a Nut?
- By Tom DeWeese
For the better part of thirty years I have been trying to sound the alarm over the dangers of Agenda 21 to human society. For my efforts I have been labeled a conspiracy theorists, spreading fear and hate against a reasonable and sound desire to simply protect the environment for future generations.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has issued four separate reports on me. I’ve been attacked on the front page of the Sunday New York Times. Atlantic Magazine scoffed that we Anti-Agenda 21 nuts declared that the UN was using “bike paths to achieve world domination.” And Newsweek called us Extremists who are spreading untruths about Agenda 21 to discredit the UN by claiming it is a attempting to enforce a New World Order to “seize private property and advance the causes of communism and to crush all dissent.” And on and on the charges have gone.
Senate Democrats Won’t Give Up on Overhauling Elections
- By Eagle Forum
Democrats are refusing to give up on passing a bill to overtake our election process. They know their majority is on the line in the upcoming November 2022 election, so they are trying their best to secure their regime. In an appeal to Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), who had reservations about S.1 (For the People Act), Senate Democrats have conjured up another election reform bill.
Dems are calling the Freedom to Vote Act (S. 2747) the “Manchin Compromise.” However, it still takes away individual and state freedoms, and the 600-page bill is not much of a compromise. Many of the same S.1 provisions are still in the bill like same-day voter registration (even for illegal immigrants), voting rights for felons, donor disclosures, and restrictions on free speech.
2022 Looking Good for Republicans
- By Star Parker
Going back to the first term of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933, the party of first-term presidents gained seats in House midterm congressional elections only twice.
Karl Rove reminded readers a few months ago in his Wall Street Journal column that, since World War II, the average loss of House seats of the party of each first-term president in congressional midterms is 28.
The largest loss was 63 in the first midterm elections in Barack Obama's first term. This was after Democrats rammed through the Affordable Care Act without a single Republican vote.
With Biden in Crisis, Less Is Less
- By Family Research Council
Republican Members of Congress on Thursday sent a letter to President Biden eviscerating the administration's heavy-handed attempt to force coronavirus vaccination on health care workers who don't want it. Last month he directed the CDC "to require COVID-19 vaccinations for all staff within all Medicare and Medicaid-certified facilities" as part of his whole-of-government approach to vaccinate "96, 97, 98 percent" of Americans.
The members who wrote the letter were less confident. "According to the United States Census Bureau, 15.7% of American adults are hesitant about receiving a COVID-19 vaccine with 7.2% reporting that they 'definitely' will not receive the vaccine," they wrote. Those numbers could be even higher, as some respondents may have been unwilling to reveal their opposition to the vaccine to a stranger on the phone. "There are going to be health care workers who are going to be fired or who are going to just quit," said Congressman Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-Ga.) on "Washington Watch."
Fossil Fuels Are Back -- Everywhere Except in the USA
- By Stephen Moore
While the greens in America, including their champion zealot, President Joe Biden, howl their primal screams over climate change, the rest of the world is turning to coal. The dark stuff. The satanic fuel. But it's back big-time across the globe.
So is old-fashioned petroleum.
Bloomberg reported last week that because of high natural gas prices due to a reduced supply from the United States, Europe is "snapping up coal." It's cheaper now, and compared to wind and solar it's a much more reliable source of power.
Biden Becomes a Bernie Sanders Democrat?
- By Pat Buchanan
"We've got the president of the United States on our side," said Sen. Bernie Sanders Sunday on ABC's "This Week."
"Got 96% of the members of the Democratic caucus in the House on our side. We got all but two senators at this point in the Democratic caucus on our side. We're going to win this thing."
The socialist senator from Vermont may be overly optimistic about how the party deadlock on Capitol Hill unfolds. But about the balance of forces inside the party, and the direction where it is headed, Sanders is probably not wrong.

Senate Republicans Vote to Ban Vaccine Mandates
- By Eagle Forum
Since the beginning of 2020, the pandemic has been used for political gain. Once the COVID vaccine was released, bad actors began implementing vaccine mandates. Even the federal government has participated in this unconstitutional action. President Joe Biden has made the vaccine mandatory for all federal workers and for companies with over 100 employees. Biden’s Department of Justice has stepped in to encourage schools in Florida to defy Governor Ron DeSantis’s ban on mask mandates. The military has even threatened dishonorable discharge for all members of the military who refuse the vaccine. This is not what freedom looks like.

States’ Rights and the Survival of American Freedom
- By Mike Scruggs
Part 2 of Revolution, Civil War, and Separation
In the past 154 years since the end of the Civil War, many Americans have been taught a dangerous partial truth about safeguarding American freedoms and constitutional republican government. That inadequate partial truth taught in most civics courses and widely repeated in education, media, and government establishments is that the separation of powers vested in the U.S. Federal Executive Presidency, Congress, and Judiciary adequately protect Americans from the abuses of tyrannical government. Most of America’s founding generation had far greater wisdom than this.
On July 4, 1776, thirteen British colonies announced their Secession from Great Britain. In the closing paragraph the signers declare that the colonies are “Free and Independent States.” The treaty with Great Britain ending the War for American Independence in 1783 actually recognized the independence of thirteen named former British colonies.

Public Cost of Training Boeing Workers Far Higher Than Projections
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
When S.C. lawmakers in 2009 first approved massive taxpayer-backed funding for aerospace giant Boeing to build an assembly plant in North Charleston, the state estimated it would spend nearly $34 million over 15 years for worker training.
But over the past 10 fiscal years, the state has spent $58.3 million – an approximately 70% hike over original projections – to train Boeing workers through the S.C. Technical College System’s “readySC” program, according to information provided this week by the college system to The Nerve.
The average per-worker training cost to the state also jumped significantly, from about $8,950 as initially estimated to approximately $12,100 – a 35% increase.
The Story of Gladys Aylward, Missionary to China. (Or: How Ingrid Became a Christian)
- By W.H. Lamb
One of the things my wife and I love to do on Sunday afternoons is to listen to recorded sermons from our favorite pastors. We listen to the current message from our dear local pastor who sends it to us, and then we click onto the D. James Kennedy Ministries website (djkm.org) and listen to several of the messages that this great hero of the faith recorded many years ago (he went home in 2007). In addition to great Bible exposition, Dr. Kennedy always managed to weave Christian or American or world history into his messages, and they are always fascinating to us. He also often admonished his flock to be good citizens, stalwart patriots in the mode of our original Founding Generation. He was never hesitant to rail against the evils and injustices that our own government was committing against the American people. To my mind, D. James Kennedy was the sort of shepherd of the flock that all pastors should be, but that so few actually are.
